EFF says essential workers won't be affected by national shutdown

Essential workers will not be affected by Monday's national shutdown. That's the assurance from EFF leader, Julius Malema, who briefed the media about the party's planned protest. The EFF will lead the picket lines on the 20th of March to demand the resignation of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
It'll also be protesting against the energy crisis, high unemployment rate and the high cost of living, amongst other issues. The DA and the City Of Cape Town have since sought interdicts against the planned protest.
