Daggerwin I know this is a bit out of the blue I saw your competitive MP video and few suggestions: I still think it's better that you buy the Ursus auto stacker and do round silage bales. When you make silage in a pit, let's say that the time needed to fill and compact the pit is equal to the time needed to bale and wrap. But with an auto stacker, you take the loading, selling, and cleaning the pit out of the equation so you can do contracts or bale straw or something else entirely. If you don't have anything to do, you might do a contract for Chainsaw. And you don't have to buy another baler as an added expense because you will have invested in an auto stacker which for round bales is absolutely worth it. I really think you should consider this. Lastly, the time lost with you doing the fertilizer with the rollers is worth more than doing it with a fertilizer spreader.

You can also use the autoloader for round bales in the Anderson DLC. It will stack 24 bales works great on this map with the bailer which stands up the bales as part of the Alpine DLC. Great Combo

Daggerwin, to answer your question on how much grass there actually is in that field, I just finished collecting it all with my equipment (CLAAS 870 Axion hitched to the CLAAS Cargos 9500 with a 2600kg front weight), and that field alone is approximately 700,000L - 800,000L. I put 300,000L in the silage pit at the farm (approximately) and another 450,000L (approximately) at the BGA. So your estimate was actually fairly close! Love the videos! Keep up the amazing work!

I like this DLC. My biggest complaint is how bright or blown out things look from the cab view. I would also have liked another tractor with more HP. I bailed and wrapped that grass field. It took a very long time and I used bigger equipment.

I would really recomend cheking out farmer cop, he has done loads of videos were he tries diffrent things in fs 19, and there is one videos about most efficient way to compact silage

A tip for silage pits is to reverse your trailer up to the back and tip until the grass stops flowing then inch forward a bit to fill the pit evenly and without getting stuck on the pile of grass over and over

A word of warning for anyone who is going to play this map with Seasons! The garage next to the farmhouse does not provide cover from rain! I'm not sure about the placeable version of this building, but the one that is already placed(and you can't sell it) definitely doesn't. I've lost some good bales because of this.

Daggerwin in terms of area, the most significant organic crops grown in Switzerland are bread cereals, fodder cereals, vegetables and potatoes. The main organic products of animal origin are milk, meat or meat products, eggs and dairy products, the latter being the most important product group.

@Daggerwin In FS15 and FS17 there is a mod for a Case IH L32000 Mower, its basically a harvester with a forager at the front for mowing grass and has a loading wagon at the back (it's all one unit) it has an in game capacity of 32000 liters...not sure it's been modded into FS19 already but that's what i use for grass! 32K liters is still not that much but is loaded up the same time you've cut the grass soo it saves me loads of time when mowing!

with that amount of grass I would use the vicon mower from the previous dlc, cuts well and leaves nice large swaths, no need to windrow.. saves on equipment.... saves on time

Dagger I think when you mow the big field you should lease the Krone Big M. It would make it so much quicker and easier, or maybe later on in the series you could buy the Krone Big M out right. Keep up the good work 😁😁

Daggerwin I found a bigger fuel tank it is two IBC’s on a trailer and it only costs 5,000 pounds and it holds 5,000 liters of fuel and it is by Tallan, Agro Mods and you could use it on the survival challenge in stead of your tanks

Just a heads up, "Farmer Cop" on KZbin found that weight actually helped pack the silage faster rather than the amount of wheels. So adding weighted tires and front/back weights would be faster. Farmer Cop does a lot of FS19 testing (crop efficiencies, equipment efficiencies, etc)

As far as compaction in your silo is concerned, it's all based on weight. The heavier the equipment the faster it compacts.

It's more of a "feels" thing, but it seems you can compact silage faster the more wheels/axles you have - so running a multiaxle loading wagon through the bunker seems to work better than just the tractor alone. Of course it's easier to get stuck on the chaff if you're hauling something with you!

There's a swath roller mod that compacts down swaths or peaks in the silo, maybe that would help with compacting the silage pit. It's called JSA Swath Roller

You could get a hayloft, sell the bale handling equipment, and do all the cow feeding on loose material (wouldn't need a bale shredder either!). And consider the Collect Straw on Contracts mod for the extra straw that will provide.

It's best to do 20.000 liter bales and use a autoloader. It looks like lot of land to keep up but normaly you let the cows graze on those parts of lands.

Something i seem to see keep happening from Giants is that on this map and the others, is that the low celling of many of the off load points, Railways celling are realy low and having my favorite joskine trailer. keeps hitting the celling and have an high chance of flipping the tractor.

Dont know about you but i came to really like Kuhn Merge Maxx 902, its quite expensive (110 000) and you need 140hp tractor to use it but its really working miracles for me, always do whole grass field into one big row and then scoop it with forage wagon or a baler.

In this DLC all the buildings are pretty fancy, as they tend to be in Switzerland. But do the Farm Equipment Stores all really look like banks? Just seems a little formal to me for farming. Comments?

Where is the sell point near the gas plant( far east of map? It is indicated on the map but there is nothing but edge of map markers? Beware larger vehicles on cross slopes, if the loaded vehicle center of gravity is outside the wheels it will fall over. It may also slide down slope before it gets to falling over. The BGA at the east side of the map will take your grass, as it has two small silage pits. You may have to go half and half with bailing and forage wagon in this field due to the increasing slope gradient. Baled grass with wrap makes silage? The baler in the Alpine pack with the wrapper is good but requires going back to the sell point to change the wrap colour , my maintenance shack on No man's Land would not change it.

I made the mistake of doing all the field, 825,000 litres. Had to put some in the bunker at the BGA. But watch that as the last 66,000 I cant get out of the bunker at the BGA, its set like concrete.
