I'm glad we see eye-to-eye, Eric. To me, it has the same feel as getting a cold-call from a telemarketer. Are you a quality and qualified job applicant? Maybe, but you're already fighting an uphill battle, so I've found it's best to start by low/no-pressure engagement. Comment on one of their posts. Like and follow them, others in their org, and their official organization pages. Share their posts and other resources they have and give them credit. etc. They'll see you and then you can make your introductions.
