I wanna point out that the only reason Joss forgave Sonny last time, back when he'd gotten her father deported/Morgan had died was because Michael had convinced her to. He and Nelle who at the time was only seen as the person who'd saved Joss' life through a kidney donation. That's the only reason fourteen year old Joss forgave Sonny. It wasn't because of anything he himself did to make up for it or anything. She was a kid then who loved her brother and saw him as a hero. And saw Nelle as her hero too. No one is going to be able to convince her to step off Sonny's neck at this point. They'll be lucky if she doesn't find out about Jagger and go to him to help him take down Sonny.

i am embarrassed by how many thoughts i have about all of this. i am going to show some restraint, though. however, i will mention that i knew dex and joss would get no story once dex chose to work for sonny, and he basically became an extra while joss was stuck with maurice benard's arrogant son, and so i was kind of over the pair for that reason and several others. however, i am so into them again. i even went down a very deep rabbit hole on this you tube page tonight. so i really really hope evan is not off screen for too long. i do not expect him to get a story again, especially with fucking steve burton coming back, but i do hope we get a few days of a good reunion. and this is me showing restraint!!

Sonny goes on about how if Joss knew where Dex was sent to, she'd lead Sonny's enemies to him. But...given he has a traitor around him, someone who wants to take him down, you'd think he would consider that they could see Joss as a weapon. Someone who would be willing to help them. Maybe not to kill Sonny, but to at least send him away.
