Why you are considering shunt generator and why not series generator? Please explain considering the DC series generator And why we don't consider DC motor while deriving the efficiency of DC machine?? In the books as well they have considered DC shunt gen Why not DC motor?

Got the same question bro, but regardless what we consider, the shunt field and series field losses will be small, so we can neglect it
