I see that your children are so independent, I have a 9, 7, 4 and 2 yr old. They are extremely dependent on me. I am very unorganized and I just really really! Want to get a routine like yours and teach them to have a routine of their own, how did you start that? I just don’t know where to begin. My family needs help and I’m just trying to find a way to help my family do better.

Don't be hard on yourself. I've been homeschooling for over 10 years and I can tell you that my 8,6,4,2 year old children are very dependent on me. And when my 13 and 11 year old were their age they were dependent on me too. It will get better trust me and trust the process. You are just in a stage of the journey were you have half toddler and half big kids. That phase can be rough I know and I've lived through that, and I'm going through it again in a sense. Lol but you are doing fine. The kids are learning even when it seems that it feels impossible to handle teaching that day they are learning through experience which in my opinion is the best teacher 😊. Give yourself breaks and just be in the moment with them at this stage. Do fun stuff, let them play outside, go to the park. PBS kids shows are pretty educational in a kid friendly way. Explore their interests, go down the rabbit holes and trails. Keep lessons short in this stage. They don't need hours of school work. 2 hrs maximum or less. Workbooks are fun at this stage and School Zone and Evan Moore has some really good ones. They will become independent as they learn to read and understand what they are reading and understand the questions. I'm praying for you and your family's homeschooling journey. 😊

I love starting our day as a family so much, especially since it’s amazing to watch my girls do our family subjects all in Spanish , to us it’s super important for them to know English and Spanish hand and hand. This year since our family is blended faiths and we want them to have respect for all faiths we take time to learn and see the many translations of the Bible, it’s been so amazing watching my girls soak it all in and how when we go to our different families events they are so respectful and want to learn more.

I have been a long time watcher of your channel and I know how much you love your pups. We have two dogs in our family and I am just wondering how you handle dogs in your home while homeschooling? Are they a distraction to your children or do they have kennels they are in during school times? Our 2 pups tend to always want to be close to us and sometimes it's a challenge to stay focused.

Hi!! I am new to your channel and loving it. I noticed one of your children is left-handed. Mine just started writing and is left handed. I was wondering if you had any tips you have found helpful for lefty's in anyway?? For example, it helps to turn their paper to the right when they write whereas rightys turn to theirs to the left. This one is a given, but its the only thing I could think of right now lol thanks!
