For context, Ocean Avenue is a "traditional" cruise spot during car week. Car week is not this one intersection or the occasional silliness that occurs in it. Some of the stupidity, in small doses has always been tolerated, meaning a rev or light peel out. Doing donuts there gives the local cops visions of an Oakland style "sideshow" and that will not be tolerated in Carmel. You have to know where you are and what is permitted, Carmel is a small town and they had to call in mutual aid, outside agency cops are not going to let anything slide because they are pissed about being called over to begin with.

I got to say, this car week wasn’t the same. Last car week was incredible. Driving around town, seeing cars you would never believe you would get bored of seeing. Exotics on Cannery Row was much better than Exotics on Broadway in my opinion except for the huge crowds. I don’t know what it was about this year but it almost felt like this year was dead. Yeah there was tons of stuff to see but it feels like every year Car Week is downgrading. Even at the track. Lots of cars there but lots of cars from last year that were incredible weren’t there this year. No 250 gto, no Porsche GT1, No f1 gtr. I mean it was good but, it wasn’t the same this year compared to the others. Am I the only one who agrees?
