I love the Tamarindo Efin! My aunt got a Micheal Dolsey fin which is great but Tamarindo Efin is one the best! Strong, easy and is great for Paddleboards on lakes! This motor has saved me and friends who were stuck on a lake with a wake!! Strong winds and tides, no problem with this Efin!!

Why is it nobody gives you an approximate run time ? Will it run an hour two hours?on medium setting ?

about 1.5 -2 hrs going non stop at top speed (budget 1.5hrs to be on the safe side) can get over 5 hours run time at slow speed. check the link in the video for the product page for more info on it.

Technically you could plug into charger while the motor is running but not sure how you're really going to charge it when you're out on a paddleboard in the water. You would need a 110 power supply. the better option might be just to get two battery boxes if you needed longer time in the water. When one battery dies you can swap

How would you describe the performance of the fin with the motor off? Of course with the added weight and the motor, it won't perform like a regular fin, but I still would like to be able to paddle straight.

tracks pretty well when off, similar to a regular fin. It probably has the best tracking and least drag of any of the other motors on the market for paddle boards.

I can't get mine to work anymore. I replaced the battery on the remote and nothing. I still see the blue light coming on and when I push the down button it beeps quietly twice. The up key doesn't light up anymore. I probably need a new remote but I can't find them. Do you know how I could get a new remote?

6-8 hours charging time for a full charge from empty. can last over 5 hours at low speed, about 1.5 hours at top speed.

How does the controller stay cool in that box? Does it overheat?

Yes the controller stays cool enough inside the box. We have been running them for 5 years and have not have any overheating issues with the controllers.

Just wondering what the dimension of the battery is, assuming it's a 9S lipo battery? Just planning ahead when warranty runs out and battery fails.

Just telling you from personal experience, these batteries last! Ive had this Efin for about three years! Given I had to buy another battery because lost. But these efins are amazing!! I am soon going to see an boost Efin soon but I already know this is one if not the best one. Battery has lasted me two years at least! They are amazing!

@@royboy1530 thanks for the input! I have two of them that I have been using for going on 5 years now! still holds a charge. I make sure I charge them periodically over the winter when not in use.

Batteries last a long time when charged and used periodically. I have two units going on 5 seasons. You can also purchase a separate batty box from Tamarindo Board Co. and quickly change batteries on the fly while out on the water for double the time. Or buy just the box if/when you need to replace the battery.

Yes, we use in salt water all the time. Recommended to rinse with fresh water after each use.
