In Japan Balrog was M.Bison and a rip on Mike Tyson but had to switch names when the game exported to USA.

Very good! Using Balrog is not easy. It’s a complex character who has no kicks. I only used a series of Hadokens to beat him to keep him away.

It actually was effective in this fight it seems. A person playing Ken with good reflexes would catch him every time he jumps. I wouldn't jump around. I would play patient then when close I would keep him pinned.

@@autotechnikooo1079 do you know, does this version of the game have the side step or the block Counter-Strike in it because if that's the case then that would be better than jumping because fighting against most characters, when you're up in the air like that you're kind of wide open. If he has the counter block or the side step I'd say that would be a better move to make with a boxer then jumping in the air but that's if the options are part of the game.

well that would be a "perfect" AI. This is not that. This is simply the most difficult level for this game which means it does not have to be played perfectly or outside of Human ability to overcome. Plus these games probably use algorithms based off a sample of played games. So it wouldn't be perfect. It would simply be specific combinations that had the most success based on a specific number of people who played the game and either won or lost.

The purpose of the AI is to give the player a challenge. But yet beatable. What you described is a perfect AI. Not a hard AI. And giving a impossible challenge to the player is flawed game design

It's really stupid how they change the characters names in the US, Balrog's real name is Bison (it's a tribute to Tyson obviously as many people know). I hate when they do that. It's like giving english names to the kids in Captain Tsubasa while they're all japanese in the first series (Nankatsu, Toho, Otomo, Hanawa, etc).

So originally Vega = M. Bison Balrog = Vega M. Bison = Balrog But M. Bison sounded too much like M. Tyson and looked too much like Mike Tyson and the game studio was afraid of being sued so they changed the names around when the released the game in the USA.
