Amazing flying and a great little plane! For a wide flight envelope and solid wind handling, would recommend it? I assume it it will hover, but semi stable? I’m ordering this or the extra 300 1.3m to add to my Maule M7, UMX Turbo timber and Twin Otter (maybe selling that one) to make some more exciting use of the 3s/4s packs :) thanks!

Well first off, it does have a fairly good flight envelope but it prefers to be flown fast. Also, this is more of an aerobat biplane and less of a 3D ship. It will prop hang for a little bit but is more challenging due to lack of propwash to get authority for a sustained hover. You are better off with the Extra 300 if you are leaning towards the 3D aspect. Finally, a heads up on the landings - the Pitts isn’t a very difficult biplane to land in my opinion.. but can be a challenge to land well without a slight bounce. It does come in a little hotter than most biplanes and you really have to make sure to time it just right to bleed off the right amount of airspeed prior to touching down. It was a topic of discussion in the forums such as RCGroups. But with either the Pitts or the Extra, you can’t go wrong with either. I have both and they are both fun in their unique flavors.
