This is US Marshall Retired with one last comment. I compared Elvis to James Dean in many ways. And James made a comment just a few days before he was killed in the tragic car accident in September of 1955. The quote/comment is as follows; "If a Man can be Remembered after he is gone, I mean if he can bridge the gap between life and death, then I guess He really was a Great Man!" So, it's a fact that both JD and EP will Always be Remembered as; "Great Men!"

Her point about Graceland being the "Sacred" resting place (graves)of Elvis & his kinfolk is how most would feel. None of them to be moved, it wouldnt be right. There is a playground slide, swingset outside Vernon‘s office area in the back of Graceland. Maybe they put it there for display, was Lisa’s. I was at Graceland last November and it was there, a few bullet holes at the bottom of the slide. Happy to hear your surgery went well Billy and you’re doing good with your physical therapy. Thanks SO much, and my question was the one about the bullet casings, and marks in Lisa Marie's slide. Billy & Jo explained it just fine. I love seeing Billy & Jo laugh as they remember Elvis and their friends. I agree with Jo about people being jealous. Absolutely! I mean, I'd be jealous. I really appreciate their honesty. Dispelling the myths, (you know only ONE or two women in his life), is just great :). I love Elvis and I love the Smith family. Stay well and see you in August!

The bullet holes are in the shooting range, which is the room right beside Vernon's office. The slide is said to be Lisa Marie's and they keep it in front of the shooting range and Vernon's office. They say Elvis used to stand on the deck outside Lisa Marie's room and shoot at targets in that room beside Vernon's office.

Thanks and yes, this was MY question :). Billy & Jo answered it. The tour guide didn't explain it as a shooting range, and it was a room right next to Vernon's office. The slide was part of a playset and had bullet marks in it, (not holes). I think my sense of how large Graceland is was distorted. There was probably quite a bit of distance between the house, where he'd shoot from, and the target room. I asked, because it seemed odd to me to be shooting guns in your backyard, but Elvis' home was not an ordinary house -- SO much larger!

Dani, Jo, and Billy, there is a red white and blue sled with swings (or there was in the late 90s) in the back of Graceland, ,the sled DOES Have A BULLET HOLE IN IT, I TOOK A PICTURE IN 1998. THERE IS A PICTURE OF THIS SLED WITH SWINGS ALONG WITH RCA RECORDING VAN TAKEN IN 1976...

They were declared part of a cemetery. Graceland area where the cemetery is can never changed. It’s legally a burial place. We have a family cemetery and the law says once it’s declared a burial place legally it can’t be changed.

I went on a tour of Graceland in 1982, one of the first tours. Lisa Marie's swing set is right by Vernon's office. At that time, there is a bullet hole in her slide and they said back then Elvis had shot a bullet through the slide. Not sure it says that on the recorded tour now. The first tours back in the day was a real tour guide that told the group things.

It's 2024, and I'm a Retired US Marshall Investigator from Indiana. I was born in the same small town as James Byron Dean and know his Family members the Winslow's. But, I am truly fascinated by individuals like Elvis and James and the investigatve characteristics I have acquired still remain after being retired for almost 12 year's. The one question that I think of most often is as follows; What kind of person was Larry Geller? And what did the Memphis Mafia truly think of him as well as Elvis himself? I ask this question because I truly believe that Larry confused Elvis's already curious mind and I don't believe Larry was positive influence on Elvis as much as he hindered Elvis! You may not answer this but I have listened to several interviews with Larry and his stories vary immensely! God Bless You All and I certainly hope you are well in 2024...

Did you read the book by Sally Hoedel called Destined to Die Young? She discusses Elvis Autopsy results from the 2 court hearings of Dr. Nick. Very informative how ill Elvis really was. She says Drs told Elvis he needed a colostomy bag. He colon/bowel was so bad. Thats why the extended stomach and he would have terrible pain. Is this true?

I will say this about Memphis. I've never met more friendly people as I have there. I had a blast at Graceland, Riverboat Rides, Sun Studio, restaurants, Beale Street, MLK Museum, The Peabody Hotel, etc. I'll be back. And thank you both, for the love and memories you share with us about The King.

Hello Jo, Danielle, and Billy. As life long Elvis Fan I love your channel. I have three questions. In the video you mentioned you did not go to Hawaii for the concert in 73. 1. The concert was not actually shown live in the United States. Did you watch the concert on tv with Elvis when it was broadcast? 2. It’s well known that Elvis had multiple tv’s in Graceland. Was each of them hooked up to rabbit ears or was there an outside antenna. If so, where was the antenna located outside. 3. A lot has been documented about Elvis’ funeral and even his mother’s funeral. But I don’t see much about Vernon’s funeral. Was Vernon’s’ visitation at Graceland like Elvis? Just curious who was in charge of Vernon’s arrangements. Thank you Matt

When I was there back in October of last year, the tour guide said Elvis would stand outside somewhere and shoot in that building like it was a driving range. I saw that hole in the swing set. That's what I think Jo , he would still be looking for girls. Thanks yall for never tiring of answering our questions and telling those wonderful stories. Thank you for covering this issue. Finally the answer to that question about the spelling on the tombstone. Legally ---??? Both ways are legally. Considering the sorce. Vernon was EP's dad. He named his son no matter if it was on paper (birth certificate) or on garnet (tombstone) ... His dad made sure his son was named after the BIBLCIAL name of Arron .... Southern country folks in the throws of the great depression aren't bothered by spelling issues such as an extra A. Elvis was named after his Dad, Vernon Elvis Presley. Vernon named their other son "Jesse" that died after Vernon's dad, Jessie Presley, but also the name "Jesse" is spelled differently than Vernon's dad's name was spelled but is spelled like the father of King David in the bible spelled it that shows on his remembrance marker. So, both sons of Vernon was spelled by the Biblical way. Just that Aron was spelled with one A by Vernon on his birth Certificate and two A's by the Biblical name as it was meant to be for his Tombstone. It's not a mystery like so many silly folks want it to be,

The slide DOES have two bullet marks/ grazings on it. The "room" with the Bullet casing on exhibit was the old original smoke house when Graceland was a Heffer farm. Elvis used that room for target practice. They claim to have recovered those casings from the yard outside the smokehouse when they metal detected the grass around the smokehouse.
