Looks amazing guys! Which one was the favourite combo?
@hawaiiefoil2 жыл бұрын
Each rider has their favorite set up for each condition. For Alika, I can say that the 4'2" with 32mast/120HA/25glide/folding prop is now my favorite in most surf conditions. If is much smaller that the waves in the video, I would change the foil to a 170HA/32glide.

I read below using Lift 4 efoils.. You mentioned folding props, so the motor is 100% off when riding the rolling swells? Just curious if it can be done. Thanks!

Yes! Absolutely correct! Using the folding prop, surfing waves, wakes, and swells are the best way to enjoy the Lift efoil, IMHO. Check out my folding prop tutorial... kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6bUhKJqop2Xn5o

Hello how often do you get conditions like this? Im a kite foiler and would love to try this. Could you get me out in these conditions with some lessons?
@hawaiiefoil Жыл бұрын
These conditions are very special, but occur more often than you would think. The south shore swells come in during our summer season. These conditions require low to no wind with a nice south swell. Usually we have NE or ENE winds 10-15mph. A day like this is a 5-10mph day. If you kite foil, you really only need to learn two things on the efoil: (1) trigger control, and (2) transition from prone to standing. The surfing part is a different skill completely. We release the trigger, and ride the wave energy which is just like wind power... variable. Come take a lesson at hawaiiefoil.com. Aloha.

I am thinking about the 25 glide rear stabilizer. Lift doesn’t recommend it for the efoil. Do you have any difficulties? I am riding the 4’9’’ with the 150x/170 ha and a 32 glide and a folding prop.

Aloha. I like to ride my 4'2" with the 120HA/25Glide combo. No problem with the smaller stab. If you are on the 150HAX, you may want a longer fuse to help stabilize, but not necessary. The 21Flow may be a better option for you since it has a longer stabilizer.

How did you attach the leash to the boards?
@hawaiiefoil2 жыл бұрын
Lift doesn't have a leash plug for the efoils (yet), so we attach our leash to the handles which have a secure anchor built into the fiber

What boards do you guys have?
@hawaiiefoil2 жыл бұрын
On this day, we had three boards in the water: Lift2 5'4", Lift3 4'9", & Lift3 4'2". In stock, we currently have Lift3 4'9" boards and various foil combinations.

@@hawaiiefoil what front wing do you recommend on the 4’9 sport? I’m 5’11 195
@hawaiiefoil2 жыл бұрын
4'9" is an amazing board. If you are relatively new, start with the 200 SurfV2 front wing. Lots of lift for your weight, very stable beneath your feet, and able to surf very nicely. If you like more speed or more maneuverability, try the 150 SurfV2. For maximum glide and pump, the 170HA would be your go to foil. It really depends on the conditions that you are riding in. Flat water conditions require a different setup from surf conditions.

I’m going to be riding relatively flat water. With this being said, what’s the ideal setup regarding front wing
@hawaiiefoil2 жыл бұрын
@@worthingtoncp at 5'11", 195lbs, on flat water, the 4'9" with 200 surf V2 front and 38 surf tail, you will be locked in for a great ride! As you progress, you may consider the high aspect foils, but that is down the road. Make sure you have the discount code to save on your new purchase. Aloha
