sometimes slower cf players can take a lot longer to work their way into the box, which is a real disadvantage, learning to dribble to retain possession in wide areas can buy time for the slower cf to get into the box. Also the low cross can be useful for these types of players that arrive a bit later into the box. Both of these situations usually occur on the counter.
