PES is for adults indeed. It reminds of RDR2 where realism is given precedence. Every time I see someone play Fifa, I can see how player movements look like they are sliding or skidding on ice. Plus their free kicks are so horribly designed though gotta admit it is wee bit easy in PES. PES has annoying parts such as playing away where suddenly players cannot perform basic passes which is meant to mimic opposing fan pressure. One aspect of PES that FIFA cannot get close to is the ball physics. Try playing Fifa and PES matches back to back and you will notice what I am saying (Unless you are a die hard Fifa fan then can't help you)

I've tried every single pes/fifa so far. The only thing that really sucks at this game is referee. Also I would like faster first touch/accelerate like pes16 had, then it would be perfect. I don't like fifa cause those unrealistic dribble/too fast turns around, also shooting and ball flying feels weird. What I would take from fifa and add to pes is those automatic pass intercepts when the ball is near uncontrolled players, in pes players just ignore the ball. efootball2022 is total trash.

I think PES Gameplay is 100% better, but.. Fifa just did about everything else better. The scoreboard in PES is boring and not realistic since they obviously don't use it in real life. Fifa's menus are much better. FIFA UI is very much better than PES their UI but.. PES gameplay is better than FIFA.

Try a lot of 1-2 pass combinations using L1 , sometimes without stopping the ball ! I already told you it is useful for different situations, just press short and release it for 1-2 pass,es, protection, keeping on the pitch a ball wich seems to be lost ... For some crosses also ... For longer sprint double tap sprint button ... If you use R2 for sprint, then R1 is for trapping the behind defender, just press the button before you receive the pass ( R1 - if you use R2 as sprint )... Switching the sides long pass in air, use cross buton and R1, it is very precise ... R2L2 is to cancel a pass or shot ... I have played football games since the late nineties, I have spent most of my time on FIFA and only played Konami's games here and there. I think both are disappointing years after years. With well over 15 years of making football games, both Konami and EA should deliver much better products. Focus on online features definitely didn't help with the more traditional game modes such as offline career. Regarding PES, I keep reading "imagine if Konami had FIFA's licenses....." well, then what? The game would still be average imo. You can make up for the lack of licensing with option files and that doesn't make the game great. Gameplay, while possibly better than FIFA in general is still questionable. I think PES main issue is that the game feels dull, more "boring" than FIFA regarding certain game modes. FIFA is just a giant frustrating mess, although they lacked in terms of presentation, and the gameplay was definitely more realistic, I had a lot more fun on older FIFA games (FIFA 99 and early 2000s). Games like MLB the Show and NBA 2K (minus the micro transactions for online modes) represent what a good sports sim, yet fun and accessible, should look like. If you can do it with baseball and basketball I see no reasons why major studios who have been developing sports sims for ages can't do it with football. A good chunk of the community, both with FIFA and PES, is also toxic and too biased. As if this wasn't bad enough, you can't find a decent hockey and football (American, NFL) sports sim either.
