I'm not too fond of the prices. Of all the cars presented here, the only one that strikes a cord is the Volvo. But it is hard to believe MSRP because dealers tend to mark up all of their cars. I will not spend $60k+ on a car that quickly depreciates. Moreover, many of these are sure to have birthing problems. The first runs of cars always have issues. So, I will keep driving my hybrid until I need a car or the prices become more affordable. Until then, I will keep watching your channel to stay informed. But at the current prices of EVs -- no thanks!

There was a study done not long ago that showed what it would take for over 50% ev adoption in the US: 1. Range: over 290, so 300 or more. 2. Charging: under 31 minutes, so 30 or less. 3. Price: under $36k, so $35,000 or less. Hitting these 3 metrics is what should be the goal of every ev maker right now. Of them the Chevy Equinox and Volvo ex30 seem the closest. But yeah, this should be the goal right now. That and the sub 28k vehicles that may not have quite as good features.

@joaquimbarbosa896 the fiat 500e has about 150 miles of range. Half of what it would need to hit the crucial range point. That is a CRUCIAL flaw. Over 300 miles is a must for over 50% adoption in the US, non negotiable. Anything in the US under 200 miles will not sell well at this point.

Even the few offerings starting in the $35k range means they will probably only have models on the floor at $40k+, which makes them out of reach of the middle class. Many more competitors in the higher cost market with limited luxury buyers doesn't seem like a potential for success for anyone. Especially when the legacy car builders haven't shown that they can produce a reliable EV yet and are losing $36k on every one they sell today. The $70k VW EV minivan is far out of reach of middle class families who actually need that number of seats. Price it around $30k and sales would skyrocket, but we know that isn't going to happen.

Dem's Drove Prices of Vehicle up because of the Initiative of 2035, which drove cost to retool for glitchy EV electronics, and Insurance is more expensive. There are still communities in Los Angeles where there aren't any Driveways let alone Garages. I will never buy EV's they're Scams and at the end life of EV will hurt the Environment. My V8 at it's end life and be easily shredded. In 10 to 40 years will be worth 10 times more than what i paid for... Can't say the same for EV's In July 2023 I was in Conversation with someone in Hawaii, about how bad the Battery Packs of Litium-ion Batteries and if you Mix Water with them. Well look it up. He said there are Million sacked 30 Feet high ( or 3 Story Building ). In August 14, 2023 to late September 2023... Could pour all the Water in the Pacific Ocean, and it would have turned off. The Salt water rust the Battery Casings and acted as an Accelerant... Now imagine Tesla Catches Fire and the Windows don't break Suffocate unless you kick them out, because electronics don't work to open the doors. It's easy to see the Beginning of Population Control. 5 years ago I thought within 10 years we would have an electric car with 500 miles of range for under $35,000. Now I don't think that will ever happen, partly becuase of massive inflation after the COVAIDs scare due to government shutdowns and spending at a global scale, but also because auto companies seem content making massive luxury vehicles with no focus on either manufacturing efficiency (besides Tesla) or actually designing their cars to be more energy effecient (with exception of Tesla and Lucid). Tesla's 4680 cells have been a huge letdown and appear to be worse for performance than their standard cells based on the bad range and charging speeds in both the Model Y and Cybetruck. Aptera might succeed, but if they make it to market within the next 2 years their 400 mile variant will doubtfully cost less than $35,000. Lucid is only car company making cars with more than 500 mile range in the US, but they cost well over $100,000 and Lucid will mostly likely go bankrupt before they make cars that cost less than $50,000.

I don’t care about EVs anymore! Are you going to talk about the class action lawsuits against Tesla and probably all the others that have built EVs? I think it’s just a matter of time before this happens, and should happen. EVs are not ready for the market, and people are starting to realize this. Nobody wants these overpriced vehicles, because they are not cheap to maintain. I think people are getting informed about the many problems, low resale, high price of insurance, battery replacement costs, how easily they just want to tell you to replace the battery, and then there’s the whole issue with thermal runaway fires. And this seems to happen even when you haven’t done anything wrong, or at least you don’t think you did. You should be talking about all those EVs that will be sitting on dealers lots, not selling. Or the people who know about the EVs switching to Tesla’s charging system and who wants to buy the old system cars that are being offered this year, until they all make the switch! I know I’ll never be able or willing to buy a EV and even though I’m completely in favour of the electric vehicles being the future, just not anything being offered right now interests me.
