It is actually true. I watch all his videos and I am literally from the other site of the planet but I can say that I cannot find any better video creator for pointing dog hunting. My remark is that the factor that makes the difference are the very talented and very well-trained dogs, especially Tobs and Sisi

You ever have issues where the dogs just aren’t scenting the birds? Went out today and saw a big covey dogs in the scent cone and never got any points. I was getting frustrated.

Yes, scenting conditions can be very bad in Kansas sometimes.

Make sure to allow lots of time to actually receive your PAL. It took me about 8 months in 2022 to get mine after mailing in my completed application. Of course you need to complete the classroom training, but the application form is also quite extensive and may take time and effort for you to complete depending on the availability of personal references and whatnot. They’ll also want the information of any current or ex spouses or girlfriends to make sure they don’t have any objections to your owning firearms.

When you believe there might be pheasants in the region, to hunt WITH THE WIND AT YOUR BACK instead of IN YOUR FACE results in better opportunities. All predators that prey upon pheasants must have the wind in their face, and the birds know this….so throw them a curve . Your dogs follow good lateral movement, so it makes no difference if they point birds away from you or to you. Have done the same on quail when they are edgy, and walked into a flock of turkeys hunting opener in Texas quail years back while hunting with the wind. It can make a difference.👍
