To prove to myself that I understand this concept, I taught myself to play a very common groove in 4, played and heard in 5. Amazing.

A long time ago, I was in a very bad state and posted how depressed I was on Facebook and Efrain who I had friended, told me to call him. I did and we spoke for hours. He took the time out of his busy day to reach out and hand me wisdom and I can't even express my gratitude. One thing I learned there is nothing linear about nature but that's all we are taught by science, math and even music theory. Straight lines. Perfect linearity. But that is not nature at all. There are no straight lines in nature, anywhere. So why do we play music like that? Thank you Efrain for reaching out. It means everything.
