Based on that, a match between 2 Filipino legends of pool, Efren “Bata” Reyes and Francisco “Django” Bustamante has always been expected by many pool fans. It becomes even more interesting because both of them used to make the best team that represented Philippines in the World Cup of Pool and presented 2 wins for the country in the 2006 and 2009 events. In fact, Reyes and Bustamante have faced against each other more than once in several events. Among those occasions, the one that’s considered as one of the greatest was the match between them in the fourth round of the 2002 WPA World 9-Ball Championship. Unfortunately, the match itself was not won by a deciding rack, but it was still very entertaining because both players gave good performances. The match itself was won by Bustamante with 11 against 8 racks won, meaning that it was still a very hard match to win for Bustamante.
