What size table do matches like this one play on?
@RichardsWorld7 жыл бұрын
4.5 feet wide, 9 feet long. That is the standard full size pool table for pros or real pool hall use. A bar or bowling alley with coin-op pool tables are usually 4 feet by 8 feet.

I was surprised at some of Nevel's mistakes for a player of his skill. Reyes is probably better but he said his eyesight is not so good anymore. Even Reyes made some bad mistakes on long range shots because of his eyesight.

So let's start a crow funding campaign to buy Efren some glases or lenses. ;-) I have seen Bustamante playing with glases recently, so it can't be that bad. :-)
@dannygjk7 жыл бұрын
yeah but because of the extreme angle at which a player views the table the specs have a weird design. some players are uncomfy with this.

question . I am a long tme player , pretty good ball maker also actually very good.... shape ehhhh lol . but around the 26 and 28.30 minute mark larry scratched twice , now I know these guys are pros , but he elected to NOT USE INSIDE ENGLISH ON BOTH SHOTS ,,,, And that is something I see the pros use less of nowdays , I was a very good ball maker in the 80s , 90 s before tables got extremely quick I get a lot of skid and squirt from the cueball that I never had on slower tables , hence my confidence and shot selection suffers also my speed nowdays . AND YES MY STROKE ISNT PERFECT BUT IT NEVER WAS , so how can I avoid all the new variables in which it is just my opinion that are caused by a lack of material on the table , I love using rails and English when needed , BUT I AM THROWN OFF THATTHE PROS USE LESS INSIDE THAN EVER BEFORE , LARRY COUL;D HAV EEASILY USED INSIDE ENGLISH BUT DIDNT .......... NOW EFREN ON THE OTHER HAND USED ALOT OF RUNNING ENGLISH WHICH GOT HIM OUT OF LINE SEVERAL TIMES DEARLY ,,,,,,,,,,, SO IT SEEMS UNLESS YOU PLAY A SLOW STRAIGHT INLINE BORING GAME OF POOL YOU CANNOT COMPETE ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, AND MY OTHER QUESTION IS WHAT THE SENSE IN MAKING POCKETS SMALLER IF YOU CAN WIDEN THEM BY LETTING THE OBJECT SKID ON THE INSIDE RAILS AND LET GRAVITY DO ITS WORK ,,,,,,,,,, BECAUSE THATS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IS HAPPENING THEY DONT PLAY TO THE BACK OF POCKETS UNLESS THERE WIDE ASS OPEN .

AlrightThen15 perfect example @7:05. I was thinking a bit of follow to go up and down the table and end up on the other side of the 5ball to shoot into the pocket he is standing over. He instead played the short side and got funny and lucky to still take that rack, but only by the skin of his teeth.

As good as you are Larry, playing against Efren you can't scratch on the break, you have to shoot better to get him on 3 fouls and you can't scratch on an easy 9-ball. Efren's ahead now 3 to 1. I can see this is a match of scratches for you seeing you scratched 6 or 7 times putting Efren ahead 7 to 4 and you don't get another shot at the table until he beats you at 9 to 4. I had to return and add to this comment, I've watched you play many times, but I've never seen you or, for that matter, anyone scratch so much. It's just your day to scratch to keep the universe in balance is the only explanation I have for it. Get it over with and be ready to play as the newly balanced universe will give you little or no scratches in the future. Let's see if it's true?
@Jeff82556 Жыл бұрын
Looks very strange to see Reyes playing at a pool hall, an exact layout of tables where I go to play, which I'm not saying is a good thing, having all the annoying people playing next to you.
@724riff7 жыл бұрын
hmm and after all these years there back using regular break racks instead of some bew money making device . but I gotta say these tables and the simonis revolutionized the game again and not for the better that's jmo / yeah they play tighter but it takes a slow soft stroke to get around the table and doesn't require near as much angle for your next shot because of the cloth speed . you can get back in line a lil easier and upo and down the table with minimal effort
@dannyberkabile2653 жыл бұрын
Larry on the first game you could have made the 9-ball twice in the bottom left corner pocket first on a billiard and second on a kick off the 1-ball. What happened. You're too good to miss those shots.You finally did billiard it in late off the 6-ball in the same pocket and won the game. Great

Larry never should of hit that 9 so hard in the fourth game. No need for that, since it was laying in the pocket almost, and that's why he scratched. Being a pro, he knows better!
@VIProfessor7 жыл бұрын
kingstaff4 Actually, I think he should have shortened it up by hitting lower on the cue ball, thus bringing it two rails through the center of the table where, of course, it is impossible to scratch. I think that's what he was trying to do, but he just lost focus. Playing Efren can make you over think and overtry!
@dannyinaus6 жыл бұрын
This is painful to watch. Efren doesn't seem to have his heart in it. Who can blame him. He is used to playing high stakes, big money against the best. Now he is in some back yard, amatrure pool room with a bunch of wannabe hacks. It also always happens, that if good players are playing average players, the good player starts playing at the lower level. This guy has only won games becasue Efren screwed up - not becasue he went out. It sucks to watch.

Larry Nevel is a great shooter and I wonder why I don't see him winning or placing in tournaments. Maybe it's because he doesn't control the cue ball well, especially after the break. At 3 to 3, Efren made 2 out of 3 points after Larry scratched. At the end of the match, Larry scratched as many times as was his score of 4 points.
