Hey Robbie... I can't remember where it is but in my hondata flash Pro there is somewhere you click and you can actualy have two step. So that could get you're flames if you can find it in yours... Also regarding your lsd, if you go on ebay and look for something called phantom grip if I remember correctly that genuinley works its under £50 I'm sure of it

To get flames, the launch control needs to be set to ignition cut, I don't know what kind of problems it could create (EDIT : Done some research and apparently it's also safer because obviously it won't run lean, but I thought it could bring other problems, but the internet says no.), but that's how you spit flames, because it makes the car run really rich.

I think the car will run lean because the ECU thinks it’s running rich from the launch control. The launch control makes the car run rich to produce a better launch. It also runs rich to produce flames

You need more fuel enrichment I think. Or maybe it’s a fuel cut instead of a ignition cut. Ignition cut is what gives you the flames.

If you have late ignition timing, the fuel can explode while in the exhaust manifold and may cause damage to turbo.

But yes, ignition cut and more fuel is what all the people you see shooting huge flames out of their gt-r's and supra's run.

i dont know the cost of the lsd on a fwd, but it sure as hell is time consuming, pulling the gearbox out, changing the gears and putting it back (hardest part, if you do something wrong you probably are fucked) but DO NOT weld the diff. i repeat: DO NOT WELD THE DIFF. You are going to get a dangerous amount of understeer at any speed, so its more of a safety issue. Unless you only drag race it, if so then go ahead. cheers man

I know this is an old video, but for those interested in trying this out; Spark and fuel cut while be a clean Launch Control setup that is safe like a factory setup. If you want flames, you need to run rich dumping extra fuel in the system with no spark, let it burn in the exhaust manifold. Spark cut only for flames (don't touch fuel), retard timing, and rev limiter restart should be between 5 and 100 increments CAUTION; cutting spark but adding fuel in the exhaust for flames WILL damage exhaust valves, exhaust manifolds, turbocharger, cylinder head lift, head-gaskets, and more... So if you want actual performance and reliability, cut fuel and spark. If you want flames, cut spark only. Then set up as I mentioned above. NOTE; if you want to bulletproof your engine for 2-step aka launch control, and happen to be modifying your engine, get some titanium valves, a professionally welded tubular exhaust manifold with a proper flow, and a quality turbo. Opt for some head studs too if you can.

Depends on your transmission. Some trans have LSD some don't. Im not sure on single cams but for dual you can get a GSR trans which has LSD. You could blow that motor and buy a JDM b20b (Crv) for like $300 and boost it with the same kit with some modifications and put a GSR trans and you will make some good power.

Set the lauch limiter 4800 set activation to 4600 fuel enrichment to 500 and ignition timing to negative 35 and make sure you go to the rev limit tab and change it to fuel and ignition u will shoot flames all day

You gotta find out what kind of cut that launch control is. Ignition or fuel cut, one of them doesn't shoot fire at all and the other can shoot fire if other things are set up properly

Add fuel and cut ignition to shoot flames. Your internals will be fine just don't do it unless you need it. Too much fuel can bypass your piston rings and thin out your oil while using the 2 step

The lightning bolt on the toolbar activates dataloging. -35 timing and 50 fuel enrichment will be a good start to shoot flames. Those are the settings I use and it sometimes spits flames

Phantom grip, its a cheap lsd option, budget built to the max, its basically a couple plates with springs in the middle that you stick inside the stock diff and it locks the pinions, but still gives it enough slack to turn the wheels at different speeds, so turning. Phantom grip on ebay

For a budget build, eBay has budget, 'Phantom Grip' limited slip differentials. I think diymike paid $15 for his and it's held about 350whp with their Pink Widow budget build. Hondata also should have different settings for different types of launch control.

I don’t know much at all about this kind of stuff but I would change your activation closer together. Probably within 250-300 rpm instead of 500. Just my opinion.

Maybe if you make it bounce quicker, between 4000 and 4200 you'll still be able to build boost (more exhaust gasses going throug turbine because there is a shorter lack of them when rpms are dropping), and maybe your exhaust pipe would get hot enough quicker to burn the excess mixture which escapes into the exhaust. Try it, it's easier than playing with other tuning parameters.

You need to turn up the injectors to push more fuel set up your turbo to boost to 10.5 pounds and set your launch control to 5,300 rpm's then it should spit some nasty flames and needs to be ignition cut

Set the max rpm to 5k activate at 4k. Before you use the launch control pre load youre rpms to about 3-3.5 k then send it to the launch limiter.

Bro i was feelinglittle sad that the exhaust was not shooting flames. But i was doing some research for you and found a video. Here is this guy talking about Cat-delete and muffler-delete and overfueling uour engine. These 3 things promisses more popping and crakling and banging from the exhaust when there is overfuel beeing egnighted in the exhaust and finaly blow 🔥. Btw i think personaly that a strait pipe would sound much better on the civ. I hope your neighbours love you 😂 i hope you read this and mayb do some more research about anti-lag and stuff. You can 'lock the diff' on a FWD car...You've got to take the gearbox apart and buy something which locks the gears or something along those lines. You can buy the part cheap from ebay, or WISH maybe.

To fit LSD, you need to take out the gearbox, open it up, take the gear sets out, take out your diff, unbolt your final drive gear from your diff, put it on LSD diff, put it all back together.

The 02-06 came with an LSD in the front, I find it grabs fairly well and can do two wheel peels. Its matched to a 6 speed manual so idk how that would work with the 5 speed civic

Quaife LSD is the highest quality limited slip differential for your build, maybe find a spare trans that has one already so you then have some spare trans parts. Hope this helps btw the vids are awesome keep it up!

Hello there! 😊 In able to have a good launch control I think you need to set the first one to 4499 RPM and the cut to 4500 RPM so it cuts constantly and not to wait for the rpm to go down to 4000 so it can start sending spark again to the engine.. only thing about LSD's in FWD cars is you literally have to split the transmission case in order to get it out and replace it. one of the things i can't stand about fwd cars. LSD is always worth it though. but yeah if you have the ability in your tune software if you can add fuel enrichment to richen it up while in launch control mode it should get it to shoot some flames, that excess fuel being dumped in will ignite.

Running rich and retarding the timing will make u build up more boost . Keep in mind running rich will make your exhaust temperature way hotter and retarding the timing can hurt the motor

lsd is def gonna be expensive on a d series, but you can definitely run some more boost on a stock block ahaha 7-10lbs will be fine, and launch control is only bad if you do it a lot if its fuel cut (which i assume yours is) change to ignition cut itll be safer!!
