Loved the review. We sell a lot of these units, especially in the summertime. Glad it's working well for you, and thanks for sharing!

Thanks for watching and for selling a great product! I will be buying at least one more of these.

Good luck on your channel. As for the EG4 24K, I bought the full kit from signature solar plus the brightmounts. The seven panels are 410W bifacial and I have them mounted 3 ft above a white crushed gravel. I get plenty of wattage even in cloudy weather. The only reason for me to purchase the system was the ROI. If my calculations are correct, on average the system will save me about $200 a month in utility expenses. The break even will be about 24 months of use. By winter, I may put the system on a my grid power to get heat at night.

Thank you! Your Mini Split set-up sounds awesome!

Huh.. 2400 EG4 mini split..? I just installed their 12k Hybrid. it's running off Two 305w sunpower panels. I do have an AC connection as well.. in the days it's already saved 9902Wh. I'm liking the AC limiter option. 379W on solar and 79 on AC.. 9909 now. It was so simple to install. I even replaced it with a Pioneer 9k unit. I'll set it back up in my storage shed on a dedicated inverter and battery system.

Now that your solar minisplit is also grid connected, it seems to me that you should no longer get that P1 error unless the grid is also down at the same time. And if you do get another solar mini split may I suggest installing the old window unit in your solar shed. That will serve a twofold purpose, it will help extend the life of your inverters & batteries and the cooler temp will assist in keeping bugs out. And, of course, it will be much more pleasant when tinkering out there on a hot day!!!!

Yes that's correct, no longer get the P1 error after connecting to grid. Good idea on the minisplit!

New subscriber here. I am planning on the 12k hybrid (with solar) in my Hamshack/ Office in the house and the 24k hybrid for my garage/workshop. Question on the P1 error - did you have it set for only PV? I thought it would grab grid power as needed. Thanks for the video. All the best from north Texas.
@DIYSolarFarming2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the sub! Yes, P1 error only happens when the unit is on 100 percent solar, no grid connected. After connecting to power I never had another issue.

@@DIYSolarFarming oh thanks for confirming that for me.

Ed, if you have the AC/DC unit will that be an issue. I thought that it was automatic switching.
@DIYSolarFarming3 күн бұрын
If you have AC connected the unit will pull power from the grid when there's not enough solar. It does that automatically.

I installed two of the 12k units from signature solar and my first full months electric bill with the solar AC system went from $340 to $115!

Hello Ed. I’m an amateur radio operator. Is there any issues with rfi with this type of equipment.
@DIYSolarFarming3 ай бұрын
That is a very good question, I'm also a Ham but not active in a few years. What bands do you operate? Maybe we can set up some tests for a video...
@black75powder3 ай бұрын
O nice. I was wondering about the HF bands. I spend most of my time on the 40, 20, 15, and 10m bands.
