I watched this video a couple of weeks ago when I was down a weaving KZbin rabbit hole and then a few days ago I was weaving and noticed a knot. I immediately thought of Jane saying, "Egads!" Thank you for this video! It really helped. And smurf head, I'm dying.

Wow thank you so much! I had to piece together some threads while winding my warp and now when I weave up to those knots I now know how to repair it! What a handy thing to know!

I'm sure it's not "correct", but this is how I've always fixed a broken warp! It's always worked fab for me and I've never had to muck around with hanging extra lengths off the back of my loom.

Great video. Is fixing the knot on the loom better than wasting yards of thread when warping to remove the whole warp length that had the knot? TIA

After wet finishing, do you cut off the "smyrf" head AND the knot? It would seem that is the process....Thank you! I am thinking of using this for chenille - several warp threads broke during the warping the loom process, and it would be great to just tie the knot!
