Deepica is incredibly brave to talk about this so openly and so articulately, she is truly an example to so many especially in a world where women are so often unfairly stigmatized

so proud to call myself South Indian right now!! and i'm sure you gave strength to many who had been thinking about this procedure but could not proceed because of their cultural background

You should also watch Shweta Vijay's video. She's South Indian living in India and has made video with a doctor from Kerala who helped her with infertility and IVF process. It's amazing.

I remember talking to my OBGYN about my fertility when I was about 28ish and he said I have time and not to worry. I wish I had started my research and process then to freeze my eggs since I am now 35 researching now.

Thank you for this video! I’m still in my 20s, and while I’m still on the fence about having kids in the future, this is something to keep in mind and a possible option to consider! Thank you for sharing your journey with us, and thanks to your doctor for educating us!

Learning about reproduction and development in my A&P class led me here...wow, this was awesome! This was inspiring; it's awesome to see how you told your parents and you're doing something that goes against cultural expectations. I can definitely relate! I've thought about egg freezing before, but never actually looked into it. I'm 32, considering a career change to medicine, so I'm definitely not ready to have kids just yet (plus waiting for the right guy), so watching you go through this has given me the motivation to seriously consider it and talk to a fertility specialist. Thank you for this video!

Loved this video! It’s nice to get the doctor’s perspective and see the conversation between you. There are a lot of Black and Brown people who don’t even know what questions to ask when it comes to this subject, not to mention there is sooo much skepticism within our communities about certain medical subjects so I think this video will help go a long way in easing some of those uncertainties. Thanks for this!

Bravo, I wish I know about it earlier, I am doing this procedure now at 38. I just completed 8 days of stimulation, my deep hope is to have 20 eggs retrieved out of this process as I want to use it more than once, the doctor told me here that if you get too many, then we will divide them in two tubes to freeze them, I understand if there is 15 eggs or so, they will store it in one tube, meaning it will be used in the future once. but what if someone want two babies

If you freeze eggs, essentially removing from the reserve, will you have less number of periods later? ...which would prepone menopause?
@ranjana5963 жыл бұрын

Why can’t you be childless. Life is so beautiful without child. Not all females are matured enough to give birth. World is over populated. Each child during his or her lifetime destroys so much of nature. Enjoy life alone or with your bf.
@Sona77.3 жыл бұрын
I feel like Indian cultures make women feel bad if you don’t have a child. Also, most men want children. I agree, having a child isn’t everything. I think it’s peer pressure
