You're not supposed to remove the shell from the chicks! You can really hurt them.

during hatching , ur humidity is low. it should be around 60, to 70 prcnt.

All the eggs that didn't hatch were the closest to the glass. Move them to the center more. Probably temperature fluctuation near glass.

You can insulate the bottom of the aquarium with styrofoam or something and get an automatic turner... Less fluctuation in environment

Usually the red and black wires are the power wires. The yellow and black are the control wires that connect to the light. It acts as a switch to turn light on and off.
