PSTD has 4 man of the match awards for this championship 🏆 out of 5 played. 1 against Wales and 1 against Ireland. Totally 6/8 games he played for the Boks. He is my player of the tournament and even player of the year. OX second and Kolbe third.

Pretty sure no prop has ever even been nominated, let alone won WPOTY. In 2020 there had been 101 players nominated which would make for some pretty decent squads except you wouldn't have any scrummages, not even unopposed. This year PSDT would get my vote though. Also, Kolbe should have another stat - how many times does the second tackler get him? If he beats 1 he typically beats 3-4, it is part of why he makes defenders look stupid.

Excellent selections Tim. Rassie used 49 players included v Wales and Portugal. So developing in a big way for W Cup 2027. Since NZ kicked out Argies and SA out if SuperRugby they have found new pastures. Argies mainly in France and SA now involved in 9 rugby scenes; 1. World Cup. 2. Rugby Championship 3. Champions Cup. 4. URC 5. Challenge Cup. 6. Currie Cup. 7. Autumn Tests. 8.Tests in SA, like v Ireland. 9. Springboks and other prominent players i legues in UK, Ire, France and Japan where the money is and developing more. This has created space for many quality players and youngsters developing. Then there are quite a number of quality youngsters which Rassie will incorporate and get battle hardened for W Cup 2027.

I would change two things: - first up, 23 players and the first name on it would be Kwagga. - Taylor was great, but Marx is joint second highest try scorer, so I'd go with him. Great from the Springboks and even though they got beaten badly yesterday, this is a great year for Argentina too. Best breakout players for me were Sititi, Louw, Nortje and SFM. Lastly, I would love to see either Ox and PSDT announced as POTY as I feel it would be most deserved.
