The irony about Zero is that in the end Wily proved he was superior even if it was in a completely different way than he would have wanted. Zero succeeded where Mega and X failed miserably and achieved the original goal of the two. To create a form of AI that could truly be humanity's equal. He will be remembered as a legendary hero, and the savior of humans and reploids while X will likely be remembered as Weil's puppet thanks to Copy X.

@@yapyapthedestroyer2562 Actually yes. Mecha Sonic was technically Metal Sonic’s prototype. Which if you’ve seen the SMBZ series, is actually a part of that spinoff’s lore. Metal was designed to be superior to sonic in every way but he could never do so because he’s eggman’s creation, As Eggman doesn’t actually want to win and just keep their war going on in perpetuity. This has never been resolved in canon, but in SMBZ, his response was to integrate his former failed counterparts and prototypes (including Silver and ironically mecha Sonic who he adopted the name of, yes I know it’s confusing) and used it to surpass even his creator.

the thing with metal sonic is that he is actually a lesser being than many of sigma's forms which zero kills 16 times total in all 8 games of the megaman X trilogy as the entire X trilogy paints the premise as robot evolution which is the fundamental premise of metal sonic anyways, also in x8 zero is part of a team that kills someone classified as a GOD. Given this zero theoretically would have influenced the fight tremendously.

In Mega Man 10 itself, in the intro, it said that the disease made the infected robots malfunction, and it was a month after the outbreak that some of the robots turned violent. As shown with Roll, not all the affected robots were turned violent. She was still her normal self.

Okay, confession time. I always, always thought EggRobo was Robotnik with a protective helmet on, right up until now when seeing this video. To be fair, they didn't use most of Eggman's best creations in this. The robot he was in is one of the weakest ones he had. Had he been in the Time Eater (technically not entirely his creation, but he modified it), he wouldn't have even needed Metal Sonic. Of course, I'm sure they didn't use all of Wily's either. But I still don't think that he could've beaten the Time Eater. Correct me if he has something amazing I don't know of. I haven't played many of the Mega Man games.

To anyone who thinks Zero would beat Metal Sonic, keep in mind Metal's copy ability. All he has to do is watch something fight for a while and he can copy it's data perfectly, taking full advantage of it's strengths and accounting for it's weaknesses. This is how Metal became the Metal Overlord in Heroes, he copied the fighting data from all of the other characters, took advantage of their strong points and did away with their weaknesses. Even Super Sonic alone couldn't defeat him. Don't get me wrong, Zero is strong, really really strong. One of the biggest badasses in the Megaman timeline. But as soon as Metal copies Zero's data, it's over. Zero couldn't win alone and without a significant powerup after the data copy took place. I mean, look what happened to Bass here. Metal Overlord didn't even copy his data and he was destroyed as easily as stepping on an ant. Take into consideration Super Sonic's power for a moment. Sonic without the power up is capable of moving his legs fast enough to run faster than the speed of sound. Super Sonic is able to move even faster than that without even having to touch the ground, and in fact gains the ability to fly without any clear means of doing so. Super Sonic has shown the ability to defeat monsters described as being godlike in power (Probably closer in power to around what the Greek gods would be capable of) on his own, and even he couldn't even scratch Metal Overlord without the help of his friends. Zero is a badass, but he's not god tier badass. Metal Sonic has the edge here. That isn't to say that nobody in the Megaman timeline could win against Metal Overlord though In the ZX series Grey and Ashe prove themselves to be god tier at the end of ZXA, and Vent and Aile were both capable of holding their own against them. That's enough evidence to say that anyone who uses the power of the biometal could potentially beat Metal Overlord, but they would have to work as a team if he were to scan any of their data, especially Grey or Ashe who have multiple life form data's. As for this video, I would count this to be an Eggman win. Why? Because his creation killed Wily. Yes, it also killed him due to Roboenza, but that's not really relevant because Metal between Sonic CD and Sonic Heroes was still capable of betraying Eggman at any time at a whim, and in fact this is exactly what happened in Heroes. So as far as we know, Metal never really even got affected by the Roboenza. He came into contact with it, but it easily could have done nothing and Eggman would still have been killed by Metal Overlord. Therefore, Wily doesn't get the Roboenza bonus points to make it a draw, and so even though Eggman himself was killed, it was one of his creations that was left functioning at the end, and not one of Wily's.

This is the same Omega that was responsible for some of the worst atrocities in the entirety of the MM universe during the Elf Wars, a calamity in which 90% of all Reploids and 60% of all humans died, outdoing even the Eurasia colony drop. They didn't call Omega the God of Destruction and the Devil Reploid for nothing. Depending on how you interpret what happens after MMZ4 and before ZX, Zero even survives orbital reentry to become the Biometal known as Model Z, which later fuses with Model X to become Model ZX, the most godawfully overpowered of all the Biometals (aside from Models O and W, which he also defeated), capable of taking out Albert himself and his legions of Reploids and Pseudoroids. He even fended off four Biometal users by himself as a Biometal, without Model X or a human/Reploid host. I'd say that's god tier badass. Some people in the comments are making a big deal out of the Death Egg and Robotnik's various facilities around Mobius, as well as his battle fleets. I guess they forgot that Wily had the Megaman Killers, Doc Robot, Ra Thor, Jet King Robo, numerous weaponised castles, the Wily Battleship, Gamma, and even the Wily Star, not to mention all those other bosses and sub-bosses. I also see people making the argument that only the Zero defeated by Sigma should count, as it's the only body created by Wily. To that I say, bollocks. MMZ Zero is the same individual - his memories and mental data are the same, even with an inferior 'copy' body. As for this video, there were a ton of factors left out on both sides of the equation, so I don't think it's very accurate. That aside, even if one were to include all of the things I've mentioned, it's a safe bet that neither Wily nor Robotnik would have won in the end.

Model X was definitely not the original X, yes. What is less certain is whether Model Z is, made from the remains of Zero. Parts of him did, in fact, survive reentry, and the Mother Elf (which mysteriously vanished into the world at the end of MMZ3) has been shown to be more than capable of regenerating him completely. Further, Ciel made the Biometals (with the exceptions of Models O and W) and it is entirely possible that she managed to find enough of Zero's data to preserve him in Biometal form. This is why I said it depends on your interpretation of events between MMZ4 and ZX. There aren't enough facts to say for certain what happened. I think you're confusing the Models with their Megamerge hosts, by the way. The Model is the Biometal entity itself, not the Megamerge. Omega wasn't 'likely' brainwashed by Weil. He was, plain and simple. However, he was also canonically insane, and did actually believe he was a messiah. Omega and Zero were nowhere near to 'evenly matched'. There was a tremendous power level difference there, and the only reason Zero won at all was, as you said, his determination to protect, but also his years of experience in battle. Omega didn't have that, and was insane, overconfident, and reckless to boot. This is why he lost - he didn't have Zero's 'heart'. Zero's question about Omega serving Weil was more pointed at Weil than anything. "Why do you have him programmed to serve you unconditionally if you are so all-powerful?" It was rhetoric meant to show Weil's lack of trust and security, his need to force loyalty as opposed to the willing cooperation that Zero received by working "hand in hand" with Reploids and humans alike. Your logic about Weil's strength being weakness can just as easily be applied to Metal Sonic. Without his visual copy ability, he'd be no match for Sonic, let alone Zero. Model W is not likely the very first Biometal to ever exist. It IS the first. Ciel found the remains of Ragnarok and used W as a blueprint of sorts to develop the other Models. Vent and Aile are nowhere near god tier. They are, as you said, a couple of kids. Kids that are Megamerged with Biometals containing the data and skill and experience of two of the most formidable and unstoppable warriors to ever exist. This is why Giro had to save them. This is why they were able to defeat Omega's cybershadow in Area N. Similarly, Grey and Ashe are extremely weak until they Megamerge with Model A, which is once again a god tier Biometal backup system preprogrammed with tactical information and abilities. Notice that even when Megamerged with A at the start of the game, they are still very weak? That's because A hadn't recovered all of its memories. Albert even confirms this later with the line "You should have recovered all of your memories by now". Conveniently, this is shortly before Albert himself is defeated. This is also why Grey and Ashe are able to defeat Vent and Aile without ZX. Also, you have it backward - the Reploids and Pseudoreploids of the ZX era are considerably weaker than their predecessors. Galleons are weaker than Variants, Variants are weaker than Pantheons, and Pantheons are weaker than X. They're basically watered down x-generation versions of X. (I should note that Variants, mechanically speaking, are stronger than Pantheons in the sense that they can withstand a bit more damage, but generally speaking they are less of a threat as there are less variations of them and their weapons are fairly mediocre, and the increased damage resistance is minimal at best.) Lastly, your final paragraph basically states what I've been saying. Zero's strength wasn't the physical sort. This is beside the point, as he still manages to defeat entities with godlike abilities (what else would you call immortality, raising the dead, and mind controlling an entire planet?). In the end, all you need to achieve godlike status is to beat godlike beings... and Zero managed that with skill, friends, and determination. I guess you could also say it didn't hurt that he was a Wily robot.

Rick Forrest Ciel only made models X and Z. Model W already existed and was found by Albert, and he used it as the blueprint to make models A, F, H, L, and P. This is revealed in one of the flashback like data things that Grey/Ashe find with Model A. He programmed them to only work with people who are genetically related to him. A in particular was made specifically for Grey for them to be a backup successor should his plans fail. He also made the model W's that resemble faces, though they are weaker than the bigger Model W fragments. The only other biometals I am aware of him making are the ones Prometheus and Pandora use, which are never named as far as I know. Model O is a bit of an odd one though. It's not technically a biometal like the other models. It's basically just Omega's head preserved after all this time, with a faint trace of his memories and powers still intact. Model X is able to use it for Double Megamerge, but I doubt it could be used on it's own. Serpent forshadowed Albert being the maker of most of the biometals in Aile's story right near the end. He tells her that the blood of the creator of the biometals flows through all who can use their power, which fits into his limited understanding of how they work as basically a henchman. He doesn't seem to understand that models X and Z are different. Proof that models X and Z are different is Giro himself. He was Ciel's creation, unlike most of the other reploids in existence. If model Z required Albert's DNA to use it, Giro would be unable to. Just like how Model A was made specifically for Grey to use, Model Z was made for Giro. I don't think it's possible for anyone else to use the model Z on it's own, Vent and Aile never gain access to a model Z form, they have to use model X to use model Z. As for Vent and Aile not being god tier, Megamerges don't take control of the user. They still have full body control, they simply gain the power that the biometals grant them. Battle experience is not included, only power. Essentially, it's like handing someone the legendary sword that was used by a legendary hero. Just holding the sword doesn't make you just as skilled as the hero it originally belonged to. This is further supported by them clearly having been training between ZX and ZXA. Vent has learned a new uppercut attack, and Aile has an attack similar to Link's finisher attack in the Legend of Zelda, except it also smashes the ground and creates rock projectiles. Basically what I am saying is that in ZX, they are still just as much "just kids" in ZX form as they are in their transporter uniforms. The only difference is that while megamerged they incredibly powerful weapons, armor, and superhuman physical potential. The reason they can't do sick flips and wall jumps in human form isn't because the biometals grant them additional skill, it's because their bodies become more vulnerable and weak when they aren't megamerged. Your point about Metal Sonic is true. Even with his copy ability, Sonic defeats him on a regular basis. But the thing is, the point of my original comment is in the context of this specific Death Battle. Basically, what I am saying is that if Zero were to win the fight against Metal Sonic, he would have to do it before Metal had enough data to become Metal Overlord. Super Sonic out tiers pretty much everyone in MMZX and ZXA, and him on his own couldn't handle Metal Overlord. He needed the help of his friends to weaken him down and assist in the attack. The true power of base Sonic would be rather hard to calculate, but his speed is a major factor in his capabilities. The faster he moves, the harder he hits. Even if he is only spinning at those high speeds and not actually traveling them, that factors into his attack power, which is what allows him to destroy Eggman's smaller robots in a single hit. Sonic has thinking ability as fast as his feet, which allows him to react to attacks and dodge them, but in terms of defense, pretty much any Megaman character would out tank him. Sonic survives through dodges rather than tanking. So in a Megaman context, Sonic is more of a glass cannon type character. He doesn't become a true god tier until he becomes Super Sonic, at which point all melee weapons (Knuckles wasn't physically able to attack Super Mecha Sonic in Sonic 3) would be useless, and only the most powerful of energy blasts could have an effect on Super Sonic, reducing the amount of time the form lasts. If you are wondering why I am doing this analysis, you will see soon. The Sonic Tier list thus goes like this: Metal Overlord > Super Sonic > Knuckles The strongest melee attacks in the ZX games are Model F's punches, capable of punching through thick walls of the hardest metal in the Megaman Universe. Knuckles' punches are likewise capable of punching through thick sheets of metal and even causing earthquakes, fissures, and eruptions. It's hard to say which between the two is more powerful, but they seem to be pretty close. Neither Model F nor Knuckles are god tier, depsite that punching power. Super Sonic, who is god tier, isn't even fazed by it. So we can use this to merge the Sonic and Megaman tier lists a little bit: Metal overlord > Super Sonic > Model F Vent/Aile in ZX form > Model F, P, H and L team up advantage of 4 to 1 or 2 Model F punch to Vent or Aile however will still do damage, therefore: Super Sonic > Vent/Aile So that gives us the tier list: Metal Overlord > Super Sonic > Vent/Aile > Zero Because we already know that Vent and Aile are stronger than Zero, since they have the same weapons, but higher power capability thanks to model X. They also have the same determination thing going on with them, they not only have those they wish to protect, but a future they wish to protect as well, so determination boost cancels out between them. The last one standing is whoever has the power to last longer. However, Metal Sonic on his own is much weaker, and therefore: Sonic >/= Knuckles > Metal Sonic and Zero > Metal Sonic with insufficient copy data So, the full tier list ends up with: Metal Overlord > Super Sonic > Vent/Aile > Zero >/= Sonic >/= Knuckles > Metal Sonic with insufficient copy data So the end result is basically that Metal Overlord is just way too strong. Zero's determination wouldn't be enough, as the power gap is just too much. Weil combined with Ragnarok is childs play compared to Metal Overlord, especially with that copy ability. Hell, Weil combined with Ragnarok would go under Zero on the tier list, since Zero didn't even need any kind of special transformation to win.

Wow! I clearly remember watching this when it first came out. I had been watching Death Battle for at least a year at that time. This was, and still is, my favorite episode! Especially the scene at the end with Metal Sonic’s final form. That was literally the coolest thing I’d ever seen at the time!
