What De Zerbi team look like: A ball playing GK(we might not have one..Bento or D.Costa?) An inverted LB(Cucu?) A forward progressing RB(that's Reece or Malo all day) Two ball playing CB's(Colwill and Fofana) Two pivots one that sits deep and can tackle and progress the ball forward(Caicedo) Another who can find passes through the lines(Enzo all day) Also we have Lavia who is great at tackling and progressing the ball and press resistant. A wide LW to hold the width (Mudryk or Nkunku) De Zerbi's LW gets a lot of room to explore which would be ideal for a Mudryk's pace but also Nkunku would cook in that scenario! A RW that inverts (Palmer all day or Olise if he comes) A nr 10 that is creative (that's Palmer or Nkunku) A striker that drops deep to help with the build up(Jackson is great at that but a bad finisher so dare i say Sesko?...he fits that role and is far more clinical) We have what De Zerbi needs both in our starting 11 and on the bench in abundance! We will also do some transfers this summer so i think they'll get this right finally! The clear out from the Roman era has made a mess that took a bit too long to sort out because we had many mercenaries and Potter couldn't discipline them so we turned to a disciplinarian in Poch who did that and brought stability in the locker room whoever both on 2018 at Spurs and 2022 at PSG players have expressed frustration with the heavy training session that led to multiple injuries!

You probably talk about Wesley Fofana,Reece James,Nkunku,Lavia and Olise. These players don't need to be overlooked because they went through a difficult time with injuries and Poch's style of training always led to injuries. In 2018 Spurs players were getting injured a lot and in 2022 at PSG they also had an injury crisis and oh shocker 23/24 seasons sees Chelsea crippled with injuries...not a shocking situation if you look at Poch's track record.

De Zerbi is the best manager willing to enter the shit house that is Chelsea and try to manage to get top 6. Every other decent manager rejected Chelsea. De Zerbi has to get top 4 if not he should be booed into resigning. He has the stench of Brighton on him and we know what happened when one of those manages Chelsea. Chelsea ends up stinking as badly as Brighton this season.

Also this concept that our owners want a yes man is false. They didn't want Poch to bark because he failed his target and his training methods crippled our squad as he crippled Spurs in 2018 and PSG in 2022. Poch was sacked because he insisted in keeping Gallagher and making him his most important midfielder and that style doesn't suit our squad.

I think it was him from the get go, Mc Kenna, etc were used as scare tactics. Put it this way, RD is the best the board can do now, but -on paper- not the most accomplished manager. So they served us the lower ones so when the scare is finished we feel happy and lucky to have him as they couldn't get anyone better. Having said that I do not dislike him and I believe he can do well, even shine at Chelsea. Give him a chance, everyone starts somewhere, he has come quite a long way till now, crack on man. His game and intelligence are up there. My fav was Jose, who we fucked up twice, pass this I am ok with RD taking on.

Miz, good point. RDZ is the least agreeable of all the candidates listed! Hopefully our Kingmaker (Eghbali) recognizes greatness when speaking of RDZ. Improving the clubs value to investors is the main driver now and winning a Champions league slot while keeping the project on track is the gaffers primary job. Potter failed miserably and Poch gallantly, but failed to move that needle nonetheless. Same requirement will face the next man. For me it’s RDZ leading with Moresco #2 and Frank as fallback.
