You really struck a nerve with me when you mentioned shovel edging. I am sure we were both raised the same way, my dad was also born in '37. I don't know about your family, but I was the youngest of five and was taught to work hard and it made no difference to my dad if it was also hard work. Thanks for sharing

Please for your own safety! My only tip,use eye protection my friend!!I almost learn that lesson the hard way just be weed eating.Blade of grass came up and hit the corner of one of my eyes and it was red for days.I got off lucky! YOU sir might be chucking some cement up too!! Haha you can get a good pair for 25 bucks Canadian.

Great real world review. I’ve watched several edger videos where they demonstrate edging on an already well manicured lawn. Your video shows what this tool is truly capable of doing! Excellent!

I have the whole series but them, i have the lawnmower, the multi-head welder and edger and the blower. All use the same battery. They are great for neighborhood lawns. The battery power is not long enough for those with acres of land. However, what I did was buy an extra battery. That way, when one goes dead, I can replace it and charge the dead battery. I bough my set last year and it’s been working for two years without any problems. It’s an excellent purchase.

Sure is good to see someone I know that can vouch that 2 years later it's still working as it should

I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use kzbin.infoUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

"Why spend that much money to edge one time ?" The is the PERFECT example! Ask yourself 'how long will it take me to edge this with a shovel?' 1 hour? two? How much would you pay someone to NOT have to do all that work? If the answer is even CLOSE to half the cost of the tool then it is a NO-BRAINER! Great video! thank you.

Great Vid, I really like the fact you demonstrate the power and sturdiness of this specific tool. Particularly, on a lawn that has not been edged in 3 yrs. So, a lawn that's edged regularly, it will be no problem getting the job done. I bought an EGO mower this past Feb and I really like it. I am looking to expand my EGO tool collection and/or update my existing older battery power tools. This vid is really helpful in my decision making.

Excellent review! I already have the edger but wanted to see what someone else thought about it. Don't have to be a pro with it, just take your time and let the tool do the work, just like you did. I'm loving everything EGO so no more mess, fumes, noise, gas, oil or filters.

It's just pronounced Ego my brother. I have the same system and I love it. Very powerful, very quiet compared to the gas versions, and I don't have to worry about having gas and oil or the smell. You give some really good tips about keeping kids from getting hurt, I like that. Even with a safety you know those kids will watch us and learn how to make it work. Keep up the great work. Also, go ahead and grab the Ego blower. I think I paid around $150 for mine (the 530 cfm model) and it came with a battery. The battery alone is usually like $125, so it's like getting the blower for just a few dollars more, and you can rid yourself of that long cord!
@GroovyCachinDude3 жыл бұрын
You're right! Love how quiet they are when you stop working. Plenty of power and run-time. I love the EGO Power head +system. Also have the string trimmer. Added the 650 cfm blower this spring and makes for great cleanup after edging.

I've owned my Ego gear for over 4 years and love them. The PowerHead with edger/trimmer attachments is a beast. I sold my backpack blower for the newer 650 CFM blower and man another beast. Ego is the Tesla of lawn care tools. My neighbor just bought our 4-year-old 21" SP mower and I'm now going to buy the NEW 21' SP mower with twin blades. With the 7.5 amp battery, I can cut my 1/4 acre lot on one charge. But I think I'll buy the 2.5 amp battery for those times my wife wants to use the handheld gear as it's lighter. Ego batteries provide the exact same power regardless of the size or SOC. They run FULL power until the battery is exhausted.

Thank you for the review! I think this is the only video on yt that actually shows a real lawn that needs edging not just a "maintenance edge" that can be done with a trimmer. I got some thiccc sod that loves to grow out below my sidewalk. I have to trim it pretty much every week and then one or twice a year edge it good. My ryobi just doesn't do the job and gets bogged down by the dirt. Definitely going ego!

Thanks for the demo. I got turned-on to the battery-operated tools when I bought a Kobalt string trimmer and blower, and absolutely love them. Am now in the market for an edger to replace my very loud gas model, and like that EGO has a multi-head tool that allows you to use the same battery for everything. With my Kobalt tools, I'd have to get a different battery and charger for the edger. I was wondering if the battery-powered edger would be powerful enough, and your demo convinced me it would, so EGO, here I come.
