Didn't know rubber nets had drag. Didn't even think about that. I'll go with the PVC. Thanks for the tips!

Love my slider, with PVC coated nylon. I do have to be careful not to pinch my hand when closing it though.

What’s your thoughts on the Frabile I think is the name of them.. The ones that the pole slides up into the net, and the net folds in half too? I’ve gotta get me one man..

... What is the difference or differences between the Kryptek and the Genesis. One is red, the other blue. In my research I have seen both with sliding handles. Both with different net sizes, net materials and handle lengths. Their website does not call out the differences nor have I seen any videos or articles discussing this. If anyone reading this has the answer(s) please reply. Would like a side by side comparison. Thank you, . Jeff .

■■■What was that net that you used before with the wrist sling deal...like a one handed type net. Did you like it...positives/negatives? Big fan of your channel and a faithful subscriber/watcher...thumbs up!
@TackleJunky816 жыл бұрын
Hey Bill, the net I believe you're talking about is the one that I used with Flukemaster. It may be by Yak-attack, though I'm not 100% sure on that. I do know that RS Nets makes a net like that as well. The positives would be that it helps give you more leverage, and really no negatives. Always appreciate the comments and views bud, thanks for watching!!

why do you use such HUGE nets for bass fishing?? Even if u accidentally snag a carp, this is way too big. This is a trophy catfish net. I have a carp channel and catch thousands of carp per year and I use much smaller net. Feel free to check my carp vids. This net is HEAVY. Trust me - its heavy. and difficult to stow on a boat. Good net, good review, but I would look into smaller nets, easier to fit on a small boat.
@PivotalG6 жыл бұрын
i_fish the large Ego Nets are 19x21 inches. That is no where near the size of a carp net and if you're using smaller than that you need to do research on proper carp landing and handling. You should be using a 42 inch head landing net for carp along with a landing mat to lay them on.
@ifishcatfish6 жыл бұрын
Ryan Getchell my friend, i have netted several hundred carp this year alone. On camera. No need to speculate and argue when i have on video the carp in the small net. Dont get me wrong, i thing these are great nets, good review, but i think this is a big catfish net. The main reason i use small nets is because they are light and easy to maneuver while u are one arm handling a carp
@PivotalG6 жыл бұрын
i_fish if you're using a smaller bet you're either catching small carp or mishandling the fish. As I said you need a much larger net forbthe fish to lay in not curl in. But to each his own. A 19x21 net isn't very large
@PivotalG6 жыл бұрын
I just went through and watched some of your videos. The net you're using is much larger than the ones in TJ81's Boat. They just look bigger. I used to have that very same extendable net a while back. Loved it allowed me to fish spots I could never fish before but it had a pretty wide head on it larger than the Bass Nets I've used. Netting Bass and Netting carp are different processes which are why Bass nets typically are pear-shaped and carp nets are more triangular/rectangles. Also, nice Musky, but you're dang lucky you didn't get your thumb ripped to shreds holding it the way you did. One head shake and your thumb would have looked like it went through a cheese grater. Gill grab with really good stomach/vent area support and you'll be good.
@ifishcatfish6 жыл бұрын
did you see my last carp video? Boilies vs corn? That's the net I use for carp. It is 20", green color. The triangular black net is huge, and i use it for blue catfish. Just in case of a trophy. I have never needed a net that size, but blue cats get large, you know, even here in IL. Also, if you browse further back, you will see plenty of 30# and a few 40# carp, all here from IL. I know nothing about bass, I am vulnerable there, but i assure you i can catch and net big carp. And thanks for the musky view! Perhaps consider a sub and watch me net some more carp this summer : )
