He won the bronze medal at the 2015 European Games in Baku. He competed at the 2015 Men's European Volleyball Championship. At club level he plays for Fakel Novy Urengoy

A bit late for my comment but totally agree with you. He deserves MVP. The US team got big favour of home team for Matt to get MVP. Kluika is the most important connection in Russia team now. He is a very stable receiver, sharp attacker and effective defender. Look forward to see him, Poletaev and Volkov in OG Tokyo.

That's what Russian volleyball is all about, physicality. But I'll disagree with you about him being only physical. If anything this clip shows his technical style with cut shots and precision serves. It's not as aesthetically pretty as the guys you mentioned tho.
