Hey Air you need to actually study the civil war before you talk about it. It was started because Abraham Lincoln was not on the ticket in the south. It was a diffrent guy. I thought it was interesting he said that about SA. I was there in 2010 for world cup and we were getting rides or taking public transportation to stadiums all over the country and I didn't get that sense. A couple times we got lost and walked for miles trying to find a way back to where we were staying. People looked at us crazy and i did think we might get robbed but people were more surprised to see 2 mexicans lost and arriving at bus depot more than anything. Locals took us to grocery stores, make-shift restaurants out of peoples homes, clubs, and i never felt any tension or sense that things could get crazy. The only altercations we had were with tourists that were there for the world cup.

Ive been to all of those countries as well. When i went diving in the Red Sea off Sharm El-Shiek, there were destroyer ship in the red sea protecting Jordan. The pyramids as a kid was one of the best experiences of my life. Riding a camel up to the Great Pyramids to go down into king Tuts tomb, when you were allowed to, was just mind blowing as a child. Im so grateful for those experiences as a white american

Ari thanks for having him on!! I did this same round in December (I was supposed to but couldn’t go to Jerusalem for obvious reasons) but Rob is spot on it’s so beautiful, ancient, and incredibly eye opening. Funny story from Jordan: We're parked waiting for our tour guides' friend to bring his dessert Jeep to go deeper into Wadi Rum and in our rear-view mirror we see two massive white horses with two freedom fighters coming towards us at full speed. One had a MASSIVE industrial sized Palestine flag and the other had a MASSIVE Ak47. About twenty yards from our car they swerve off and start galloping towards this train that’s running parallel to us actively. After the train leaves , we see two women and a camera crew filming the whole thing. They all high-five each other, tie up the horses, leave them there, hop in a car and drive off. Bruh the entire time my tour guide was screaming in arabic on the phone to his boy and my mom was in the backseat just like theyre gonna take us hostage because were american were so cooked etc. That still stays with me today - theres such a fine line between real life and propaganda. I guess for me it was a bit more than a first down.

I just sent these words to a friend. the "You Be Trippin" podcast with Ari Shaffir is a nice little getaway each episode. I've been following him for years as a stand up comic. I'll just say the highlights.. at 23 decided not to be a Rabii, got laid.. blah blah blah.. His Jew Special is actually phenomenal; teaches you with comedy. I seriously am not promoting that saggy balled Jew.. I just feel that if there is a podcast that is not murder or politics..
