Awesome sermon...telling us to move out of our past...concentrate on Christ and fight to attain the prize.

This man spoke a mouth full of truth. 100% truth! He said, “God’s problem was not getting His people out of Egypt but getting Egypt out of His people”. Paul tells us to study the experience of Israel in the wilderness because it will be our experience in these last days ( 1 Cor 10 1-11). Nothing is new under the sun; God is the same yesterday today and forever. God’s people today are behaving like the children of Israel in the wilderness. This message is on point.

"Folks who won't get over Egypt will die in Egypt." Amen. Egypt symbolizes the worldly environment in which we live--not just physically but spiritually and internally. Even the way we communicate, and perhaps especially the way we communicate may be Egyptian. God have mercy on us! Thanks for this very pointed and truthful message, Pastor Henry Wright. Thanks to the one posting it also. Happy New Year 2021 to each and everyone reading this.

The problem we so often have is we always want to argue with Gods prophet, ALWAYS. Whenever Israel thought to disobey or argue with Gods prophet it was ALWAYS bad news ALWAYS. What we want to do is justify what we like to do or listen to etc, etc, etc. This preacher has it right and the sources he is using has it right as well. When it comes to music it doesn't matter how it makes us feel or how we feel about it, if the warning is stay away, then the only safety is to stay away. That is all

Why I know that this Pastor is for real, the mere fact that he always speak about himself concerning all his sermon. This is really deep.

Pastor is on topic because don't care how faithful you are Satan still tries to tempted in the worst way if your faith is not strong. And yes Egypt is always in front of us.
@SuperNefertiti201112 жыл бұрын
...minimizing this sermon to the narrow topic of music is reducing the totality of "Egypt within us". Music is but the tip of the iceberg...I discern the bedrock of this sermon to be a call to be anointed with eye salve so that we see Egypt in all its forms oozing out of us, inclusive of dress, diet, entertainment, immorality, language, desires etc., its so much deeper than drums and tambourines...

You didn't hear the music being referenced in the sermon. It isn't part of the downloaded service. I know the musician for this church. I remember when he first put his fingers on a piano. God has touched the young man with heavenly talent, so much so that the pastor felt compelled to mention the the pianist and other musicians. As a musician myself, I can truly say that sometimes the Holy Spirit has me play things that I never heard, because the notes were coming from heaven. All to His glory!

You really need to hear this sermon again, and again to understand what this pastor was talking about. It is a cross between Satan and God whom do we choose. Someone to helped us such as the Savior or Satan to stay in the same condition forever.

I understand where you're coming from. I believe that due to the intensity of the great controversy, it's essential, now more than ever, to stay ever connected with Christ. These secular musicians do not have a positive influence on us. For that reason, i think it better to stay away.
@mimilliz198710 жыл бұрын
excellent sermon I however disagree about his early point about music "Satan will make music a snare by the way in which it is conducted" LDE 159.2 A snare is a trap, a trap is meant to take away something valuable like your freedom, or your life... so if we attribute this to the spiritual context in which the value is the end goal to be saved then logically we can see that music can be a hindrance to salvation....

I agree 100%., beautiful pic btw. I've seen you somewhere before but idk where
@herbertnelsonjr.98996 жыл бұрын
mimilliz1987 His statement didn't promote or evaluate music as good or bad. He basically was saying that many impose their cultural and musical preference on others under the guise of labeling music God likes and approves of. He said or inferred that we may be enlightened and surprised when we get there. Worship at rock bottom is predicated on our hearts. We may have the quote unquote acceptable music and still not spiritually enter into His rest.
@exwhyz93676 жыл бұрын
herbert nelson - I agree...was he advocating a 'free for all'? His statement regarding music seems rather 'relative'.
@tru1luv6 жыл бұрын
mimilliz1987 satanic music is still satanic. You can't justify it to suit your taste. It is what is and the pastor was right. There are only two sides in this world...good and evil. Plain and simple. Music that does not glorify God should not be on a True Christians playlist. Period.

At about 45:35 How can a person hear this message, converted and unconverted and not think about what the Pastor said? I felt the burden he had. Too many Pastors, particularly the younger ones, tell too many jokes while preaching. You feel nothing more than like you are sitting in a comedy show. No true message of conversion and folks come in and leave the same way they came. They tell you after church the sermon was good, then when you ask them what was the message about, they struggle to explain because they were merely caught up in emotions and comedy and felt comfortable while living in sin. May the Lord help us to understand that he truly wants to save us. May we understand that we have no time to "play" church, no time.

@reyguel As a fellow musician, I don't understand what you mean by EGW being "pretty harsh"?? It's either she is a prophetess of God OR not, my friend. If you believe she is, then just listen to her. Trust and Obey. God's Prophet is God's mouthpiece....listen and stop rebelling.

@O Israel: If you read the word you will see that heaven is where we desire to go. The New Jerusalem is the kingdom to which you are referring. Revelation 21:2 indicates that they are different, since it speaks of the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven. You may want to listen again and understand that Pastor Wright is not claiming to be a prophet. I'll pray that God reveals himself to you.

I can see if you only watched the first few minutes how you could draw that conclusion. If you did not watch the entire sermon then you're not following your own advice. If you have good information on music I'd be interested to see if you could post a link or PM me. God bless.

I for one wants no more of that foolishness....for lack of a more appropriate word! My language is a bit more clean than yours. See, it’s all that anger that made you sick. I sure would have packed your bag and walk the hell outta there. The sweet, gentle Holy Spirit CANNOT be there! 👋🏽bye bye!
