Turkey won't be allowed to sell KAAN to Egypt. They worked with BAE to develop the fighter jet and the engines are all American made General Electric. I don’t think China has anything to worry about. The J20 is simply too good a deal for Egypt to pass up and makes for a perfect upgrade to the fighters they already have. The J20 also doesn’t directly compete with Turkey’s fifth generation stealth fighter, so everybody wins, except The US, France and Israel.

Too early! Egypt needs to urgently replace its F16 Blocks 15 and 32 jetc fighters (about 70 of them) as soon as possible, definitely before 2028! J10C is best choice now along with the comaprable light version TA 50 of South Korea (longer term beyond 2030 for operational reasons). KAAN is an entirely different category and Egypt can not wait until KAAN project starts mass production!

The KAAN is still under development. It would be a good diplomatic move for Egypt to place an early order for 3 or 4 of them and down payment. It's a vote of confidence that will create much goodwill between Ankara and Cairo. Once Egypt takes delivery of the 3 or 4 KAAN fighters, and they meet Egypt's needs, then Turkey would be inclined to sell more to Egypt under very very favorable terms.

They need time to fully develop their indigenous 5th gen aircraft. It’s not like making a tank or ifv. Engine tech is really difficult to master. It took china decades before coming with the ws10 for example. Even Sweden doesn’t produce its own turbine cores for their gripens. Best thing to do is seal the deal with the j10c with bvr capabilities now and then put down a first order with turkey later. And even then, kaan will only be supplemental and not fully standardized on, it’ll be mixed in with possibly j31

@@NCM-xy8ow You know what if IAF wants to have it's Tejas with so much deficiencies like what Pakistani air force agreed to make to do with JF17 then IAF might have inducted almost 200 Tejas by now & not just that PAF stated induction of JF17 from 2007 so IAF might have chosen the same induction year but here the difference of operational methodology between IAF & PAF as due financial crunch & Geopolitical reasons Pakistan wasn't in a position to acquire state of art western origin fighter jets that's why PAF agreed to induct JF17 with so much drawbacks & limitations that's why PAF choose the path of block 1 block2 & block 3 upgrade to achieve desirable JF17 but IAF took the different approach where IAF didn't want to get Tejas with different upgrade block over the period of time Rather IAF wanted to have Tejas with such ultimate 4.5Generation technological capabilities for which IAF was even ready to wait for even longer time so that IAF Tejas whenever inducted into service doesn't need to go through block upgrade & the Result of which is today we have Tejas Mk1A which is far ahead of your Green chatni block 3 in every aspects as far GE F404 engine delay is concerned we have the option of going with the Russian RD33mk300 series engine which is also used in IAF Mig29upg/Mig29k & also used by Pakistan in its JF17 all block jets but IAF have took the decision not to go with Russian engine despite the fact that the same engine which you are using for JF17 is already license manufactured in India under TOT agreement with Indian HAL managed to indegenised majority of this engine components but still unlike you we are not going for Russian engines which have not good servicing and shelf life record & have plenty of others problems to ponder with that's why we don't take cheap short cuts like you or to utter cheap comment like you because we are already going to rolled out next year our Tejas mk2 which is altogether different aircraft compared with Tejas mka1 & comes under Grippen/F16 medium category class along with that we are also developing our own 5th generation AMCA without depending on others to import apart from that we are in the middle of developing Rafale class TEDF which is nearly stealth fighter jet in it's configuration upfront but we just can't drum beater like you as whatever you have is all Chinese Reverse engineering technology that too where Pakistan collaboration is not above then paint and screw driving and you guys commenting like Lockheed Martin and Boeing in making come out from your wonderland..
