EGYPTIAN FALAFEL SANDWICH WRAPS: Delicious Middle Eastern Vegetarian Street Food in Waterloo, London

✓ This is Waterloo's "Best Kept Secret" Falafel Wrap place: i.e the people who need to know, know about it !!! The other people can carry on going to get their falafel wraps from starbucks and pret a manger.
The market stall going by the name "Vegetarian Falafel" serves these gorgeous pure vegetarian wraps in Waterloo, London.............what makes the wraps they serve up such a treat is that they wrap it in a middle eastern flat bread or Saj bread (almost like an Indian style naan bread).
What makes the pure vegan and vegetarian wraps extra special is that once it's all wrapped up; it's then grilled it so it's served piping hot........please be warned that these wraps are absolutely delicious !!!
There is no secret to the recipe & preparation because the Chefs make everything in full view of you.
The filling includes: Hummus, Chilli Sauce, freshly cut lettuce, Fried Aubergine, Fried Carrot, Grilled Haloumi Cheese (sometimes spelled Halloumi), Pickled Gherkin, Pickled Turnip (coloured pink with Beetroot), Hot Jalepeno Peppers, Tahini (Sesame Sauce), freshly fried Falafel balls.
This is Egyptian Street food at it's very best !!!
We reckon that the chef who makes the falafel here qualifies as one of the fastest fried falafel makers we've.
Appropriately the stall is simply named "Vegetarian Falafel" and is located in St Johns church's forcourt and is very close to Waterloo Station.
The "fully loaded" falafel wraps are served in two sizes:
Medium = £4.00
& Large = £5.00
The guys open 5 days a week at lunch time.

There's always a strong element of speed to these falafel vendors, I'm not sure whether I prefer the ultra speed of the "line cook" style preparation or these slower two man jobs where you can have a word and some service with a smile while you wait. Either way, looks like some good grub.

Hey Brother, Thank you for watching my videos and your kind words. Nice to hear that you're going to India; whereabouts and how long you going for? In Waterloo; Lower Marsh Market has some good food options at lunchtime + there is the "London Eye" but sometimes the queues can be long. It depends exactly how much free time you have and if you're looking to eat vegetarian, if I personally was at Heathrow: * I would head to Hounslow West Station & then eat something at either Sangeetha restaurant or Chini Chor restaurant. * or I would go to Alperton station and head towards Ealing Road where there's lots of great food options + lots of non food Indian shops to explore as well (but you may not want a little taste of India as you're going there any way). If you do end up at Ealing Road seek out Saravanaa Resturant (but make sure you ask for your food to be mild if you don't like hot food) their Rava Kitchdi is especially great as well as their Kolapuri (curry). (If at you do go to Ealing Road, do not eat at "Mumbai Local Restaurant" as i've been twice but the food is tasteless). The weather is predicted to be a bit cooler on Wednesday & maybe if you want an indoor foodie experience.....I haven't yet been to the recently opened "7 dials Market" so if you've got time i would also suggest there (lot of veg & non-veg options from what I've read)......but as I've said I haven't been there yet but as it's run by "Kerb" it should be good. A bit of a long reply but there you go.
