This is a nod to Ptolemaic Egypt when it was ruled by the line of Ptolemy I Soter who was a Macedonian Greek General under Alexander the Great who became Pharaoh of Egypt when Alexander died and his generals split up rule of Alexander's empire. Katy Perry is clearly trying to portray herself like Cleopatra a daughter in the Soter family line who became Queen of Egypt during the lifetime of Julius Caesar and in fact bore him a son Caesarian who after Caesar's murder was killed by Octavian who unlike Caesar became the first Emperor of Rome taking the name Caesar Augustus for which the month of August is named. Cleopatra lived from 51 to 30 BC so this is meant to be nearly 2'000 years ago. btw...Aside from the Soter line of rulers of Egypt being ethnically Greek which the Goddess Aphrodite is Geek as well there is no reason why a ruler of Egypt would ask to be made someone's Aphrodite, it's an artistic license lyric for a song meant to be about romance.
