I'm gonna guess each story was originally recorded separately, probably even posted on their own, before they decided to make a 'full' documentary (I'm aware these are likely not ALL of the Egyptian Gods/Dieties I was just making an example of sorts)

from my knowledge it was the Earth god, not Shu or Thoth. i do not remember how exactly it happened it was something like, Nut managed to sneak down one night to see the Earth god and they... you know.

This comment admires the depiction of Thoth as the deity of wisdom and writing, and his role in cosmic order and the afterlife. It notes Thoth's association with the cycles of time and his influence on ancient Egyptian literature and philosophy, highlighting his integral role in Egyptian cosmology and spiritual practices.

I'm guessing these are clips from different recordings pieced together to explain multiple stories rather than one which I think may be why it seems after each diety we learn about it feels like the video is ending and then starting over....however I didn't find it to be a huge turn off personally. I also don't use chat gpt or know what it "reads like" so I could be a thousand miles off 😅😅😅

Remember images used in this video or any other are just personal representation of a particular God/Diety, bc none if us currently living have ever had the opportunity to see them; therefore, like Jesus, it's all upto personal beliefs based on your own research. Is this the new format necessary for people to learn things these days? I'm referring to the repetition of certain facts more than three times, as if we had already forgotten the fact even though it had been mentioned mere minutes before. I just don't get it. I mean, sure everyone learns differently, and being a visual learner, myself, I take tons of notes, but, this level of repetition is overkill and I can only conclude it's due to the dumbing down of our recent generations due to the failure of our government to properly educate our children, pushing political opinions on them rather than the important facts needed to excel in life. I'm almost 100% certain that knowing Nut was thought to swallow the earth each night and give birth to it each morning represented life, death and rebirth (like almost every other Egyptian deity in their faith) isn't going to help my kids make good moral choices in adulthood. Sure, this information is great if you're studying special subjects but even then does it need to be repeated so many times? I think I've made my point at least 3-4 times now so I'll consider my rant concluded. You're welcome. 😂

Egyptian mythology is nothing like Greek... It's extremely African if you actually took a minute to think more critically... each Egyptian god is associated with a specific animal, because the beliefs of the predynastic Egyptians were initially derived from some sort of totemic or animistic religious cult... The Greeks were Indo-Europeans: all of the Greek gods, except for mythical monsters were all depicted as human, never half-human half-animals like in African mythology... The Greeks of the Late period(664-332 BC) translated ancient Egyptians names like _djehuti_ into _thoth_ and that's why they sound Greek.
@danielpaulson8838
@danielpaulson8838 Ай бұрын
You are correct. There is one common, global monomyth template all these myths and religions are framed upon. You are seeing what is shared by having more knowledge and capacity to see concepts in the material. People who can't see the concepts either believe them to be true or false. They can't fathom, "shared" story components. Jason sailing through the Clashing Rocks and barely getting through, for example is the same template spot where Moses crosses the Red Sea and barely makes it. These are, "Crossing the threshold."

Yes, Biblical authors also plagiarized everyone else. One common teaching held in many metaphorical, supernatural claiming, outward looking religions. Eve, Gave life to All. Tiamat, Babylonian Creation myth that the Jews morphed, The mother of them all. Read more books.

Judaism is derived from two primary sources and they let us know in the Bible. They made enemies of the Egyptians and the Babylonians. And that's the very material they used and morphed to create Genesis. Jesus' supposed ministry is a monomyth sequence too. Moses crossed the threshold by crossing the Red Sea, then spent 40 years in the desert. Jesus crossed the threshold by baptism and spent 40 days in the wilderness. These patterns are all over the place.
