Hi Sylvia, Thank you. My camera was having a hard time adjusting to the morning light. Maybe I had it on the wrong setting. The afternoon walk is a better video I think.
@SystemStarArt-20165 жыл бұрын
@@ProWalks O no it is perfect! I think you and your camera gave a beautiful impression with the sunlight and the shadows. Especially when you think the Sun was sacred for the people who lived there and they built these fascinating monuments in a way afterlife could be reached by following the Sun (god) from the moment it rised in the east and set in the west and in an everlasting cycle. Seeing what you captured in both video tours at different times of the day you see what most of the times is missing or cant be seen looking at this amazing place. Beautiful :)

Yeah, it is pretty interesting to hear all the different theories. I don't subscribe to any one theory but I tend to think it is around 4,500 years old.

I remember this sightseeing - the year was 2003, October but it was the final highlight because we came from the Pyramids, we got in the Cheop's one and 1 of his subsidiaries. I remember the temple of Chafra and discussions with "guardians" at Menkaura's.I cannot remember how we get out, just that was AWSOM!

Incredibly interesting ! I'm wondering what the month and temperature would have been while you were walking. I've never seen such a huge sun yet people were wearing long sleeves, no shorts. @@ProWalks Thanks for the info. Did you also take the Niles cruise? if so, how much? Do you know if it is possible to travel from Luxor to the Red Sea, then border crossing to Jordan or Israel? I hope it's possible, it will safe a lot of time instead of traveling to Tel Avis or Amman to start each journey. I hope I can tour Egypt, Israel, Jordan in 22 days in June
@ProWalks4 жыл бұрын
Hey, I did take a Nile Cruise when I was there with my family. Our Uber driver insisted on going with us and bringing a case of beer...he said it would get us a better deal. I think he just wanted to relax and was friends with the boat driver. Either way...it was cheap. I think we paid $20 for our family for a 90 minute ride. We went to Cairo and Sharm el-Sheikh so I can't help you with Jordan or Israel. I know it is easy to cross over to Jordan from Israel at the the town of Eilat. Our friends did that with no problem. They started in Tel Aviv though and drove down to Eilat.

@@ProWalks To confirm, I will have to find my old photographs (remember what they were?!), but it looks much the same, although (from 7 mins into your video once you walk up the slope), I don't recall any scaffolding or brickwork at the base between the front and hind legs. Please don't take that as true though, I saw a lot on the day I went to Giza (including walking around the actual village of Giza itself), and exploring the inside of the Great Pyramid where I have my strongest memories.
