Even the season before where conte lost the plot and we finished 5th, Hazard was still carrying the team on his back after Diego costa left and was one of the best players in the league and in the world. I feel like we relied too much on him during those two seasons which may be part of the reason why he left

People say Hazard didn't have good stats, but from the start of the world cup 2018 until the end of 2018 he got 17 goals and 12 assists in 35 games which is more goal contributions than Ronaldo, Griezmann, Suarez, Aguero, Mane, Cavani, Benzema, Bale and Mandzukic during that timeframe, and the same as Lewandowski

He had to improve his final play and score more because giroud was a different type player to costa he literally adjusted to a whole new system and thrived to stay consistent over that period with different managers different tactics and his playstyle still endured Chelsea fans know exactly what this man meant to us even when he doesn’t score the chances he can create just by carrying those balls through tight area to the final third was incredible he can run a game without scoring or having final assist

Unpopular opinion: Pointless dribbling with barely any chances or goals being created. He would draw a lot of fouls but the team barely did anything with those free kicks. Strong Nostalgia factor but players like Mane had a larger impact on the game than Hazard. Hazard was good on the eye but definitely not the most affective player on the pitch

@@timabruh4145 I completely understand why you feel so. But I've also seen the side of Eden Hazard that went an entire year without scoring a goal. He also had the habit of ghosting in important matches coupled with low work rate. This combined with him flopping at Real Madrid completely changed my opinion on him. I think all the points I have mentioned above are completely valid and that is why I said he had a smaller impact on average than someone like Mane who barely had 10% of Hazard's talent
