Jefferson City MO was hit by a large tornado luckily no one was killed and one hit Golden City MO near Joplin.

This was a wild week. I was on patrol working overnight shifts watching the storms coming in.

2019 was definitely an active severe weather year. I’ve seen an uptick in tornadoes and Tornado Warnings in my region here in PA over the years.

One of those local power companies that still a selection of analog(basic) channels similar to when I lived in Chattanooga and had Electric Power Board of Chattanooga and they offered a "bronze" package which was analog, that you could get straight from the wall, along with their digital "gold" tier, which required a digital box to receive. Back in Nashville, Xfinity has had no such thing for years, making everyone have some sort of digital box and even encrypting the local digital channels so that you need a "Digital Transport Adapter" at the very least. EDIT: Ehatt, do you know that Weather Channel has since changed the format of their "WeatherStar" it looks very similar to a NBCu format, which would make sense since they are owned by NBCu now.

This cable company is all digital and all channels from 2-98 (the classic tier) are offered unencrypted in SD (channels 2-30 are in unencrypted HD when available). This isn't in HD because the file sizes when recording would have been huge and I wouldn't have wanted to take up all of my DVR space with HD footage that I would then have to record again over to PC. I recorded this with an external tuner to a flash drive. And this particular format was introduced in 2013 (5 years after NBC Weather Plus was shuttered) in an effort to provide "weather all the time". With the L-bar essentially useless, this format was shelved in 2019.
