I have a white 2.0 EXL and I’ve done the swat bar upgrade. I also put aftermarket wheels on it, but I’ve already decided when my tires wear out I’m going to upgrade to 19 inch wheels. After that I will decide on lowering springs or coil-overs. I also installed the OEM deck lid spoiler so I’m kind of converting my EXL into a sport edition.

Great video, I think the key to the Pro-kits, is that they're installed with relatively fresh shocks/struts.....those that have had bad experiences are probably installing them on worn out or tired struts. They probably will wear them slightly faster, but not faster than riding on rough roads, or carrying loads.

The Sportlines also have a more aggressive spring rate than the ProKit which will change the dynamics even further away from the OEM shock/spring setup - I don’t know how the ride would be, but I would expect that you’ll be making the ADS work even harder, potentially leading to quicker wear of the shocks.

It can't void your entire bumper to bumper warranty. Of course, each dealership is different when it comes to how they view and support (or not) aftermarket parts.

first, excellent videos and information for the enthusiast. 2nd, I have another question about the Eibach Pro Kit. I know its roughly a 1" drop (the most mild of any on the market). I know 1" drop is minmal, I'm looking for just a slight variation of stock look and improved handling. I take my car to a regular mechanic or the dealer for all maintenance. I go for oil changes, tire rotation, etc.. I know I'll need an alignment after the drop. Should I be concerned about getting the car on a regular lift for said maintenance? What did you experience when you went for your alignment, did you have to go to a "special" shop?
@TheLemonFactor3 жыл бұрын
First, thank you for the positive comment and support 😉. Second, it’s a good question - I have not taken the car to a dealership, but would be very surprised if they couldn’t handle it given it’s only a 1” drop. Why these springs over some other cheaper options that appear to be nearly the same like Megan Racing. Love the videos btw :)

Does your warranty become void if you install lowering springs/coilovers?
@TheLemonFactor3 жыл бұрын
The dealer may give you a hard time about covering a repair under warranty if it can be attributed to the lowering springs.

@@TheLemonFactor Have you experience any issues with camber since you installed your springs or did you end up installing the camber kit?
@TheLemonFactor3 жыл бұрын
I did not install a camber kit, although one is recommended. I did have an alignment done once the springs settled and where adjustments can be made everything came very close to recommended specs, so I opted to wait and see. I’m very good about rotating my tires and have yet to find any uneven wear - although my tires are long-life and I haven’t put a lot of miles on them 🤷♂️

Where can I get these installed?
@TheLemonFactor3 жыл бұрын
A certified mechanic should have no problem installing springs, or you can try it yourself assuming you have the tools, time, and feel comfortable enough 🤷♂️. Check out my install video for the details.

@@TheLemonFactoractually my local mechanic refused due to liability reasons. I totally understand that since it’s an aftermarket part and modding the suspension.

I have a 1.5 LX would you recommend me having just the springs with OEM suspension? Or having the full kit?
@SBoverEverything2 жыл бұрын
How many inches did you drop with this kit? Was thinking about d2 springs they have a 2 inch drop.

If you care about warranty. This will void the suspension warranty.
