Ashok Leyland had got in automatic in the Dost, but then it did not take off. This one from Eicher will 100pc take off because it is the right time for an automatic in the medium and heavy-duty trucks. A very classy video, Mr Roy PT.

Eicher is good..but the problem in India is 99 percent of the trucks are overloaded..a minimum of 6 to 10 tons..I normally struggle to driver my eicher even the small flyovers and bridges..yes..I understand it's over loaded..but when looking at eicher 20.16..also with the correct load..facing the same issue..leyland, Tata and bharat benz are good in hills..the only problem in eicher is that it's very hard to climb even with the approved tonnage.

Well said @joyfulljishnu we know that. This is the first automatic in the medium duty segment. We do study our facts before publishing! To add to that, Boss automatic did not do well at all and we guess it is not being produced for the time being.

VOLVO-EICHER (VE) is way much superior in technology than Ashok Leyland which is backward. Leyland guys only stresses on 'How Leyland had been a trustworthy for decades' to sell their products! EICHER had tieup with Mitsubishi of Japan about two decades ago, and now has Volvo of Sweden since more than a decade in a 50:50 JV. Constant innovation leads the brand forward. Once upon a time, Leyland used to outsell every other brand, now EICHER sells more than Leyland, Should that be enough!!
