Assalamu'alaikum Ghena, I've been wanting to drop you this note for awhile now. I found your channel during a low period of my life, and your wonderful smile, positive energy and nurturing personality helped to pull me out of some of my darker times. This past Ramadan (2021), I had the intention to become closer to the Quran, so when I learned about your Quran Sisters Recitation circle, I signed up magically thinking I would be able to keep up. Before Ramadan 2021, it had been more than 20 years since I had recited. I was there on the first night, and although I could (barely) follow along in translation, the experience strengthened my resolve to become closer to the Book of God. The very next day, I began re-educating myself on the Arabic alphabet. A few days after that, I began reading the Quran again - slowly, haltingly, but surely. When I first began, my intention was simply to finish Juz 1 by the end of Ramadan. Subhanallah, God is Almighty. Not only did He allow me to re-introduce myself properly to His Book, He allowed me to complete Juz 1 AND Juz 2. I began Syawal reciting Juz 3, and now plan to complete the whole Book by Ramadan 2022, Insyallah. So Ghena, I just want to thank you. Allah sent you my way at a time when I was feeling hopeless about my life in general, and through your outreach, I was able to have the most fulfilling Ramadan of my life. Please do not stop spreading positivity and knowledge, because you will never know whose lives you touch. May Allah SWT reward you in all the ways I never can, ameeeen.
