It is absolutely genius that his story hints towards a repeated event in history; the king was cruel, and he gave a son, then the son revolted, and he was the new king. But he follows his father's path after he is absolutely mesmerized by the 'diamonds and emeralds, and gold-plated bliss'. And the hints that the same thing happened, strongly hinting towards relistening the song. This is just... genius. And the voice! It adds a whole new perspective to the song. This is a miracle of a song.

This song, "The King" by Rosendale, really hits close to my heart. The lyrics tell a powerful story of greed, power, and ultimately, the downfall of a ruling king. The opening lines, "There was a king, living carefree, he wanted the world, he wanted everything," immediately set the tone for the song and introduce the main character, a king who desires wealth and power above all else. As the song progresses, we see the king's selfishness and disregard for his own people. He rules with a fist and watches as his citizens starve and beg for help. The imagery of the king bathing in riches while his people suffer is particularly striking. The story takes a turn when the king demands a child from his queen and then casts her aside. The queen dies giving birth to the king's son, who grows up to be a strong and just leader. The son's journey to overthrow his father and take the throne is a powerful and inspiring one, filled with bravery and determination. The final lines of the song, "But what of the people, the legends don't say, just like a memory, they faded away," are haunting and thought-provoking. They remind us that while the story of the king and his son may be legendary, the fate of the people they ruled over is often forgotten. Overall, "Rosendale" is a beautifully written and performed song that tells a timeless tale of power, greed, and justice. The lyrics are deeply moving, and the melody is both haunting and uplifting. It's no wonder that this song has become such a beloved favorite among fans of The King. #Rosendale #TheKing #Power #Greed #Justice #Inspiring #Bravery #Determination #Leadership #Legacy #Haunting #Uplifting #BeautifullyWritten

@@quotaruota Yes, a tyrant king. But we often only hear about the king and the prince. We rarely hear about the people, and it's the people who truly hold power. For a king who rules over a country without people is no king at all, merely a landowner.

If you think about it the story replays at the end "The king wanted the world, he wanted everything" which means that somewhere along the line he got corrupted and the story repeats

Okay, I'm going to listen to this on repeat until I can type all of the lyrics because I'm bored. Started at 11:41 "There was a king living care free. He wanted the world he wanted, everything. [] He ruled with a fist, his people were starved, he watched as [] they begged behind his castle guards. ... Diamonds and perls [] emeralds and gold. He bathed in the riches only he could know. [] But with time came age, his health in decline [] the fate of his legacy left to the tides, so he ran to his queen and demanded a child [] planted his seed then he cast her aside. Several moons later, she bore him a son but died [] just to give him his own flesh and blood. ... The son grew like weeds. He soon was 18 [] he ventured outside of the castle to see [] the faces so gaunt the dead in the streets. They cried out for help, but nobody could hear. Deep down inside him something had stirred [] he laughed at the ruins his father incurred [] fire in his veins he [] stormed back to the throne [] stared down the king, with a rage still unknown. ... The father decreed a new rule of law, his son to be banished outside of the wall. [] So the son had a plan, and his heart was convinced there'd never be room for both king and a prince [] he rallied the people and charged through the gate. A shield in one had but the other a blade [] with one fowl swoop his own father depose [] he sat on the throne and adorned his new crown. ... The son was elated. The kingdom was his. [] Diamonds and emeralds and gold-plated bliss. [] But what of the people? The legends don't say. Just like a memory, they faded away. ... [] There was a king living care free, [] he wanted the world he wanted everything. []" AND DONEEEEEEEEEEE 12:53 IS NOW THE TIME It took an hour and 12 minutes, the movie Fantasic Mr. Fox is an hour and 27 minutes long, including credits. Every "[]" was when I forgot what came next and waited for it to restart and I watched this video 21 times not including the last "[]" because that was the last time it ended. From 11:41 to 12:53. This cured my boredom, 10/10. Also, I dare anyone say, "You didn't spell that right." I spent to damn long on this to care. Have a lovely day/afternoon/night
