I am not a Purdy hater but….. I’m not sure if he is actually a great QB though. He throws some really accurate screen passes and passes to the flat and lets his players use their talent to get YAC. However, We saw what he is when you take away one of his 4 elite offensive weapons. He was mid AF. He just makes better decisions and doesn’t get flustered like Garoppolo but to my eyes he looks like a decent QB surrounded by elite offensive talent. I think he will improve but he is doing what the offense needs him to do… get the ball to his elite players and let them eat.

Thanks for the comment about Purdy at the end. Just to make a few points, the Niners going six straight possessions with six touchdowns hasn’t happened since Steve Young and Jerry Rice. I’ve watched a few former QBs talk about Purdy. They say two of his best traits are is accuracy and ability to run through the reads quickly. I’ve even heard a few compare him to Joe Montana. High praise, indeed. We’ll have to see how he does in the future, but for now, he’s looking very good.

They called Joe Montana "Joe Cool" and I think Purdy mentally keeps his cool on the field. A great team also plays with the tempo and belief in all that they do on the field. Deebo said, "Meet me in the endzone." It's the "We're going to do this" and then they execute attitude and belief with no hesitation. In the old, bad days of the Niners, coaches couldn't even get plays out to the QB on time and the Niners had hard times simply executing a play or getting a first down. I remember when an announcer would say, "And this is the first time the Niners have crossed the 50-yard-line this game." Those were the bad old days. This is one of the best, most complete teams the Niners have had in ages, and the QB position is the best since Steve Young.

49ers faithful here. All I can hope for the Eagles to win out and Dallas to trip because I want a rematch of the 49ers and Eagles in the NFC Championship. Specifically a #1 and #2 seed rematch. More importantly I hope both teams stay healthy because these are two strong rosters and both teams have been cheated too often because of injury bad luck at the worst time. Like how the Eagles thrashed us in the NFC Championship last year. It wasn't a game it was a one-sided slaughterhouse and Jalen was putting on the clinic in that game. The playoffs are a completely separate beast, any team can win in the playoffs doesn't matter what seed they entered as and the Eagles and Jalen are strong in the post-season. I want Purdy to keep proving himself so he can shake off the Mister Irrelevant tags. This is his second season and his numbers are amazing on the overalls. I want a proper shoot-out between Eagles and Niners with neither team having critical injuries. A clean game where all the options are available for both QBs. Stay healthy and win out Eagles, hopefully we have an NFC Championship rematch. Thank you for at least acknowledging that Purdy is not a system QB.

My favorite part of this video was when you said, "I swear Brock Purdy gets carried" right after the play of the game. 3rd and 7 right after Philly made it a 1 possession game, Philly has all the momentum after Greenlaw and Dom got ejected, and its looking like the tides are about to turn. Brock has McCaffrey open behind the sticks, but instead of dumping it off and hoping McCaffrey can make something out of it, he throws a dime to Aiyuk for the first down, leading to a TD, and the game IMO.
