A friend of mine in NYC picked this guy up and the Kid Goku for me! The more I saw of this figure the more wanted it and I definitely don't regret it! The hair and translucent effect is awesome!

I got my delivery. Loving these exclusives, the extras from NYCC are super fun too. The figure rise Goku is more of a statue. This SSJ Goku is my favourite 2.0 SSJ Goku for sure!

this would be nice, but they keep changing how they color the head sculpts. For the awakened super saiyan blood ssj vegeta, he had metallic hair, which is my personal favorite. But then trunks had matt hair with shading, as well as gohan? They did the same for namek ssj goku, and other releases. Idk why they won't just keep it metallic, which is my personal favorite way of doing it.

Not a big fan of that clear plastic BUT the face plates and the hair positioning of hid Bangs are Awesome 😌. All in all I’d definitely buy one

I dig this head cause we don’t really have that many good ssj heads tbh, the best one being the Namek 3.0 head but it only works on that body since it’s so art style specific. I think the back piece could’ve been a little wider but the faces look excellent, just not a fan of the translucency tho I see why they went for it, I’d like to see this head painted like the new cell saga trunks and Gohan I think thatd look incredible

The faces are amazing, I'm not too keen on the hair sculpt, but those faces are one of the best we have seen. So sad it's exclusive, if I find one at a decent price I'll get one, but I doubt it

I was determined to pick this guy up. The face plates look utterly fantastic. Easily 3.0 quality on the plates and the hair on both sculpts is gorgeous and fluffy. The trans-plastic gimmick is cute, and I might actually keep him like that instead of swapping the head onto full power. Do the face plates fit on the full power hair?

Hey there! I've never actually used bluetack for head swaps on figures/figuarts but I was just curious if you've ever used it to do a permanent head swap. Are there any downsides? Such as it getting stuck on the figure, melting, ripping the paint off etc? I am wanting to do a headswap of the Super Hero Ultimate Gohan onto a plain orange Gi Goku body, and leave it on there, but I'd hate if anything broke or got messed up. Thanks! P.S. loved the video. just picked up the translucent Goku myself and he's dope!

by the way Tamashii is going right now with Dragon ball figures, i think bootlegs, like Tonsen or DF, are going to rise to a level of quality so high that is going to be comparable to a new official figure. just look at Goku, Beast Deities did a 3.0 meanwhile we keep getting the same 2.0 mold for years 🤡🤡🤡🤡

we are wayyyy past the point of calling 3rd party "comparable" some of the figures are genuienly better overall than tamashi. we have 8 2.0 gokus, 3.0ku came out last year, tamashi needs to step up their game

It's not the third parties' quality, it's that they give people what they want, unlike Tamashii, that sticks to a somewhat strict release pattern.

I love the main hair piece and the translucent body. But, I’ve noticed that this one was made in Vietnam; hopefully it won’t have any QC issues. I know that the more recent Vietnam figures have come out good but they’ve also made Full power Goku and that figure is terrible; bunch of QC issues on that figure.

21:39 actually this can be accurate! In the special ova “Yo-Son Goku and his friends return!” he wears that turtle hermit Gi with that kanji, the only differences would be the laces and the smaller v neck but the coloring would be accurate especially since SSJ glows a lot in that special, just realized this so had to come back to comment😂

@@eightysixedreviewsyeah it’s a pretty dope ova especially since it came out in 2008 before Battle of Gods or anything, it introduced Vegeta’s brother Tarble who is canon but the special itself unfortunately isn’t. But yeah Goku sports his Turtle Gi in there, and with super glowy SSJ hair!

I think that’s the good part about it, new heads and unique translucency make it special but not so special that it’s a must have figure in the line. If this were a brand new 3.0 all new body and still a store exclusive there’d be a ton of backlash (justifiably so). I do think it could’ve used one or two more faces tho
