I was kinda bummed it didn't come with a base form head like the Trunks one does, but seeing how well the Super Hero Vegeta's head works with it was all I needed to see.

I love the new colors on this version, but the ankles are just so horrible on the 2.0 Vegeta molds

I agree, this issue is also the case for other characters using the Saiyan armor-type boots like Trunks, Vegito, even Great Saiyaman Gohan. I’m glad tho Bardock’s were pretty good

I prefer the 2.0 ankles especially to the new ones. They're stable, fit the design, and they get into most poses DB characters would be doing. Outside of pointing down they literally get the exact same articulation that human ankles have. The 3.0 ankles suck. Every figure I own with them has one floppy foot that can't be fixed or hold weight because of the instability of the new engineering. At least the old ball joints were easy to tighten.

Don't know why they didn't give him white tip boots to differentiate this release being early Android Saga with the original being more Cell Saga. 4:22 For this issue from memory it was extra plastic in the waist that for some reason prohibited it moving much so good to see they improved it. Considering I got the intial release I'll just wait for the inevitable 3.0. Saiyan armour Vegeta considering we already got a taste of that with the ssj4 Vegeta. 19:18 Would also really love one for Piccolo, maybe stretched arms, Special beam cannon, more damaged arms and maybe even new faces would be great.

I think some figures in the line being rereleased and given some minor updates is a good idea because it does give collectors the chance to get they’re hands on a figure that they wouldn’t be able to get without paying high prices for it. Still tho, preorders sell out quick and for those who missed out yet again might have to pay more for 2nd hand copies.

Really glad you mentioned the hip issue the older figure had. Knowing the new one doesn't have that gives me the assurance I needed to grab a few for all the cool third party vegeta heads coming out.

Since this Vegeta has a deeper pure blue as opposed to the purplish hue of the original release (which I have), I most likely will get this to swap on a base Vegeta head from scouter Vegeta 2.0 (I have the head and faces for fodder) and have this displayed as a base Vegeta

@@rodimussupreme2329 well it was shown as a prototype but that was like 2 years ago. It was a new base form head and looks great. However, it has never actually been said to be slated for release. I would imagine it will at some point but it’s not on the horizon of releases yet. Especially not so soon after this release.

For the hips you could pop it off and the hip flaps that allows it to move forward and back there's a excess plastic there that you need to shave off with a hobby knife or sand paper, once that's been trimmed it can allow the hips to move forward without using the waist hinge hope it helps. Loving these new faces currently 2nd best looking sh figuarts vegeta, kinda cheap that they ommitted the extra face plate and the in accurate boots , nonetheless it's better than previous version and DFs version. Now we gotta get a recolor of Battle damage gohan ssj 2 since we are getting a re color of saiyan armor trunks.

I noticed scouter Vegeta is the tallest Vegeta. We need a 3.0 scouter Vegeta that's the same height as the other Vegetas with removable skirt armor pieces so you can turn him into Namek Vegeta.

Had the original when it released, sold it awhile ago for rather cheap, (I don't like price heightening stuff). But I ended falling in love with the figure rise line and sold my 4 sh figurats and started painting model kits. Can't wait for the new spec vegeta later this year. Getting my ssj and ssjgod paint ready! As always love the reviews

This is just my guess, but looking at the trend of Dragon Ball Figuarts that gets the 3.0 treatment: SSJ4, Ultimate Gohan and the newly released Trunks, what do they have in common? They all don't have the 2.0 body molds. SSJ4 Goku was teased long ago in expo but never got released. Back then it had the old 1.0 body mold. Ultimate Gohan and Trunks also never received a 2.0 update and skipped right to 3.0. As much as I want a 3.0 Goku and Vegeta, I think Bandai is fine with reusing 2.0 molds, otherwise we would have gotten the update to 3.0 during the Super Hero figure releases together with Ultimate Gohan.

Great review. I got my Trunks today. My Vegeta hasn’t shipped yet. I didn’t really need this Vegeta but the new face printing and colours are great. I have a lot of 3rd party Vegeta heads coming too so the more Vegeta bodies the merrier. 😅

The SSJGod/SSJB Broly movie Vegeta is being reissued. It won the poll tamashii put out for a Dragon Ball SH Figuarts reissue. Which is good for new collectors because it was selling for $120.00+ sometimes.

SSBSS Vegeta had the same leg issue but... about the leg articulation, i popped the leg off and saw that that crotch piece has and extra bit of plastic hindering it (similar to Super Brolys biceps) you may have to shave both pieces down so that theyre even and flat and that fixes that problem, dont now why they do that its really easy to fix it and does not damage the figure

Its cheap, its have nice colour and really great quality control, the bad side is it doesn't include normal black hair but it would probably bump up the price
