This was my first FF and remains my favorite along with FF VIII. The visual effects and the sense of impact that all the spells/summons have in FF IX never cease to amaze me. Meteor, Holy, Flare, Bahamut's Mega Flare, Ark's Eternal Darkess... they still look so awesome decades later.

Solo Ozma with Eiko considered very hard because you have to increase her level very high to have very high SP. Every character need Auto Reflect to resist Berserk (since there's no Berserk Guard), while have multiple Ailments Guard such as Mini Guard, Poison Guard and Silence Guard against Curse. Curse is Physical skill, if you don't have Mini Guard and inflicted with Mini. If you didn't cure it, next Curse will insta-kill Eiko. Poison Guard are optional as it needed to prevent you from poisoned so your Auto Regen will heal you. Silence will straight up kill Eiko if she can't cast Magic The rest is Auto Regen and Auto Haste, remaining SP can be used for survivability Magic Character in this game have very low Max HP while most character didn't have very much difference in Physical or Magic Defense. This in fact cause Magic are lethal to Magic Character itself as they have low Max HP. Ozma Flare literally can insta-kill Dagger, Vivi and Eiko around LV 65 as Flare was Non-elemental Magic that pass through Reflect. Ozma also have skill called Flare Star that deal 50*target LV. That skill are lethal toward Low Max HP character, make things more difficult for magic unit That's why this video are very lucky that Ozma didn't use Flare Star or Flare because I guess Eiko LV was 96 and that means Flare star will deal 4800 damage that will deplete Eiko HP. Flare Star and Curse usually casted next to each other Ozma have the best RNG as he sometimes can be very smart such as wanting to straight up kill you with Meteor (ambush) > Curse > Flare Star > Flare

This only proves one thing. A literal ball gets to the point faster then good ol Sephy. Sephiroth has a thing for dramatics. 6 and a half minute video, they ball uses a meteor spell multiple times. At least Aerith has an excuse. She died while casting her spell but at least she got her job done.

Depends which Ozma you're facing. The one with a nerf or the one without the nerf. The nerfed one is doing the Mog mail quest. The non is Ozma without the quest. Almost anyone who uploads an Ozma quest, fights it with the nerf. As Curse doesn't insta-kill many of them.

What the hell was Ozma supposed to be anyway? Lol @ his death too. My first encounter fighting Ozma my party was only around lv 60's and the battle was epic. I beat him too which felt like a hell of an achievement. My whole party died and Eiko's phoenix saved our asses lol.

Berserk may be only reflected. I don't absorb curse, it's impossible. But I have noticed that when you get hit by curse and trance you don't get mini status.

It's kinda cool how a miniature planet casts an ability called "Doomsday" and crashes a humongous asteroid into itself, dealing max damage to everyone. Guess this must had been what Planet Earth did when it wanted to get rid of the dinosaurs.

The easiest way to defeat Ozma is to just equip all party members with Dark element absorbing equipment. You will defeat him like a chick.
