Remember. You can drink water direct from rivers in the west Norway spesial on mountains. No need to filter or boil.

A "seter" is a place up in the mountains where farmers placed their cattle in the summertime to save the grass around the main farm for winter. Seterdal means a valley where there's several/many "seter", different farms down in the valley had their own areas. So you are correct about what a seter is. In some parts of Norway a "seter" is called a "støl".

Thanks! :D I tried to find out on the internet what's that but it wasn't easy. After trip i asked on one Norwegian motorcycle group and they explained it but footage was recorded so.. :D If i understand, støl is place were cows (or other animals) were milked, isn't it? I was checking the Tungestølen name and found something like that. Thanks again for explanation! :)

@@PiotrHarison You are correct. Støl and seter is the same thing with different names depending on local dialects. The buildings on the Støl/seter was usually a little cabin where the shepherds lived while they were looked after and milked the cows and a little barn for the cattle (and storing), but in much smaller scale and with more primitive conditions than down at the main farm.
