Dearest EIR : 12 votes from the Netherlands !!! This is absolutely stunning. I have heard maybe 50 versions and this one is at least the most entertaining one and most funny one, but at the same time: What a voice!!! Only compliments and what a valuable document for you. Congratulations with almost 10.000 viewers in due course. You deserve it !! Many thanks.

Amazing talent and a great performance of this song! I have one question for anyone more familiar with Norwegian or the performance itself. It appears the camera pans to a VIP couple at 1:22. I noticed there are several policemen behind them, (the ID badges around their neck say police). Does anyone know who these people are?

Hey, I’m kinda late, but I’d love to answer you! That was Jens Stoltenberg, who at that time was prime minister!

I like how she reinterpreted the Kristin Chenoweth version of Cunegonde
@cyclonekid977 жыл бұрын
Hmm...not the best Cunegonde. Wish she would have sung the music a little more. She was late in some areas, and it wasn't intentional.

SHE did an excellent job. Possibly the best on youtube. The solo is behind the beat in places as composed by Leonard Bernstein. Fitting the character of the part. Bernstein got this right. Maybe when you watch William Tell Overture encore by Dudamel,,,,,you could upload the complete overture starting with the Cello Solo,,,not just the “Lone Ranger” Trumpet finale.

@@josephhapp9 She indeed did an excellent job. No doubt from all the Cunegondes this one is the most hilarious and I agree with you the best on youtube (and there are many!!!!) . This is not only vocally of interest, but the entertaining part is just as important, if not even more. Mr Matthew Joyner seems only to have listened and not watched. What a shame, he missed an brilliant singer and at the same time an gifted artist. How can a human being deliver this quality while doing an acrobatic tour de force at the same time? I am full of admiration for Eir, how she managed singing ánd acting in this extremely difficult piece of music

Conductor needs to pay a little more attention to the singer instead of her dancing

This is almost a copy of Chenoweth's performance - the same mannerisms and dynamics! 😡😡😡
