@@evamurray4478 thanks for responding. I have to say that no, my forefathers fought for freedom from English tyranny. They weren’t involved in fighting communism or Marxism. The general accord was to rid Ireland from British rule. They were staunch republicans and fought against one enemy, the British empire and its governing and imperial powers over Eire. In actual fact, the Irish Sinn Fein would have supported general Franco in his socialist revolution, not the opposite. Irish republicans supported Che Guevara and Fidel Castro. These were revolutionary socialists against capitalism and Irish revolutionary movements were in agreement with it and supportive. Nationalists fought in partisan wars against the common enemy. Imperialism and capitalism. But their causes were different. ☘️💚👍🏼✌🏻🙏🏼
